well I wish it would hurry and get there....I hate this crap!!  I would rather have all the snow that Palehorse keeps dancing for.

A half hour drive home turned into over an hour due to the ice. Got home and the road to my house was closed due to a power line pole snapping in two. We had no power from 3pm to 11pm and so sat around the fireplace drinking rum with a neighbor. I had to take the long way home to get here. And 67th street was a solid sheet of thick ice, causing me to engage 4wd and creep home at a "swift" 10 mph. . .

We amused ourselves by going up to the "observation deck" of the house and watching the morons drive like idiots and crash into one another or go off roading.  :biggrin2: One guy had his 3/4 ton truck in my back neighbor's yard since he thought he was invincible with 4wd and found out he wasn't!  :biggrin:

This morning the cable went out mid-post in this area. . . :rolleyes: "It's Comcraptic"! But the first thing I can say positive about comcrap is that they came out and had it restored in about 45 minutes.  :biggrin:

I'm glad that you made it home safely and turned a bad situation into what sounds like a lot of fun. I love to watch people drive like idiots as long as they're not anywhere around me while I'm driving. ;D



So far, it's sunny here. I'm guessing lower 50's. It was supposed to rain today and tomorrow, but I think the forecast has changed.

Its raining out but at least it's warm enough, 46, that is isn't ice.  We got out and did some last minute shopping and had to go to Kroger's to get something we had forgotten and that place was a zoo.  Just couldn't see fixing green bean casserole without the onion rings though.  :rolleyes:

I bought everything for my dinner last week and stopped last night to grab something and I told the guy at he store that I was surprised that it wasn't busier and he said, that's because everyone is just worried about buying gifts, but at the last minute it'll hit them...we need food! :biggrin2: I guess he was right.

No rain yet, but it's clouding over. I want some kinda precipitation for Christmas. ;D

Here we go again with this ice storm BS! They just closed the tollroad due to the fact they have had 50+ cars involved in accidents due to the icy roads. . . :icon_twisted:
