The National Weather Service IN Indianapolis Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch...Which Is IN Effect From Thursday Afternoon Through Late Thursday Night.

A Strong Storm System Will Develop Across The Central Plains On Thursday Afternoon And Move Quickly East. As It Does...A Strong Cold High Pressure From Canada Will Move South Into The Lakes Region. This Will Cause A Situation Where Cold Air At The Ground Allows Rain Falling To Freeze On Surfaces.

Light Freezing Rain Will Move IN After 4 PM Thursday...With The Greatest Potential For Freezing Rain After 7 PM. Gradually...Warmer Air From The South Will Move Northward And Cause Temperatures To Slowly Rise Above Freezing After Midnight. Before This Happens...Ice Accumulations Of A Tenth To A Quarter Of An Inch Are Possible Across North Central Indiana.

A Winter Storm Watch Means There Is A Potential For Significant Snow...Sleet...Or Ice Accumulations That May Impact Travel. Continue To Monitor The Latest Forecasts.

We're under a freezing rain storm warning for tommorrow. It's suppose to start around noon tomorrow, and run until midnight tomorrow night. We could get up to 1 3/4 inches of ice.  They put the warning out last night. They're tellin' people to be prepared for long power outages,and downed trees. Thank God we bought that generator!!! It runs the whole house off LP gas. If the internet goes out I'm screwed LMAO!!! I've tentatively called off work for Friday. Next week I only work one 3 hour shift because, I took almost a week off for Christmas.

It's raining, raining, raining and raining here. I absolutely love it! The temps are mid 50's still.

THE ICE STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
9 AM EST FRIDAY.

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE CNTL PLAINS ON
THIS AFTERNOON & MOVE QUICKLY EAST. AS IT DOES.A STRONG COLD
HIGH PRESSURE FROM CANADA WILL MOVE SO. INTO THE LAKES REGION.
THIS WILL CAUSE A SITUATION WHERE COLD AIR AT THE GROUND ALLOWS
RAIN FALLING TO FREEZE ON SURFACES.

LIGHT FREEZING RAIN WILL MOVE IN AFTER 7 PM THURSDAY.WITH THE
GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR FREEZING RAIN AFTER 9 PM. GRADUALLY.

TEMPS TO SLOWLY RISE ABOVE FREEZING EARLY FRI MORNING.
BEFORE THIS HAPPENS.ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO A THIRD OF AN INCH
ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NO. CNTL IN.

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS
WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
DISCOURAGED. COMMERCE WILL LIKELY BE SEVERELY IMPACTED. IF YOU
MUST TRAVEL.KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT.FOOD.& WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS & WINDS WILL

Weather is expected to be more severe north of Indianapolis. An area from Lafayette to Kokomo and Muncie is under an ice storm warning.

The storm front slowed down. We're still under a ice storm warning but, the worst part of  it is suppose to start this evening, and run through midday tomorrow. Thank God for the generator, and gas log fireplace. Unfortunately, Hubby has to go to the Windy tonight. They're callin' for 10 - 12 inches of snow there. These are the nights a truck driver's wife dreads.
