I've been seeing the weather reports for the east coast and they're getting slammed!

I think an electric clock just bit the dust....Hubby's gettin' tired of it blinkin' every time the lights flicker.....Yep, it just hit the trash can....LOL  It's an older one that's hard to set and about on it's last legs anyway so it don't matter...

We've got flashing lights on the stove, microwave, coffee maker, and the iPod sound system we have in teh kitchen right now. I quit resetting them a few hours ago.  Can't look in the kitchen area or I may have a seizure from all those flashing lights!

I'm shutting the network down here tonight. Too much instability in the electricity!

I was concerned about the power going out and the power stayed on but I lost my internet.

We lost power in short spurts last night. Thankfully it stayed on though.

A couple of cars abandoned, one at the entrance and one right alongside my house in the middle of the street.

Wind is still howling and the snow is still drifting and blowing. Forget trying to clear it until the wind dies down. We are in for the day, except for taking the dog out. (I may crank up the truck and go pull those two cars out if the owners show up again. . . 



Looks like we got the 10 inches, but it is hard to tell. I've got large swaths in my yard where you can see the grass just beneath the frozen crust; but other areas where there are drifts of snow that are about knee deep or deeper.

The road where the car is stuck has a drift completely across it. (Our subdivision contracted with the city of Anderson to plow our roads this year, and it shows.) Any vehicle not a 4 x 4 is not leaving this place.

Actually, we had a warm-up to 31degrees, which condensed most of the snow into a snow/ice crystallized nightmare to shovel.

It got so warm that I got out the coconut oil and headed for the beach.

Well, this storm just confirms for me the fact that people are frigging idiots. The roads are virtually impassable in our subdivision. The plows came through but only took one pass down each road, and 30 minutes later the wind had drifted the snow over them; yet people are trying to get out and getting stuck. I can see at least 6 cars stuck, and 4 of them are right outside my house. (2 of them abandoned).

Still other idiots have parked their cars in the only open path and are now blocking it.
