She was terrible.  Hopefully dropping one of her Grammy trophies last night was a clue as to her career - crushed into little pieces!

The grammys are like billboard; based on the musical taste of 13yr old little girls.  Always has been.  The music sucks from a group of talentless hacks that rely on electronics for any kind of voice and retread soundtracks that are an embarrassment to true artists.

At work today, I overheard a young co-worker talking to a young man about his church and somehow it came up in conversation that his wife doesn't like to go.

She was shocked! :spooked: Then she went on to tell him that he is the man of the house and it's his godly right to put his foot down. She said that it's his decision and as his wife she must comply. She also informed him that is what "being a man is all about". The young man couldn't agree more or fast enough. He said, "That's the way it works in normal homes, but not in mine" as if he hit the wayward wife jackpot.

The only thing that kept me from descending on them with my "hear me roar speech" was visions of him going home and getting his azz kicked.

I think they heard me giggling  though. :biggrin:

He must be related to a guy that lived next door to me at one time who broke his wifes's arm because she didn't want to go to his choice of churches.  Needless to say I never spoke a word to him after that and we lived next door to them for about 4yrs.  She divorced him....  :biggrin:

I don't know why anyone would be arrogant enough to believe that he/she has supreme right over another adult's choices and it makes me sad to think there are people out there who would willingly give up their freedom with such a flimsy excuse. Just hand it over! It's sickening.

Only two reasons I could think of --

1. enjoyed/enjoys being a victim -- some people actually like being mistreated; it is not a game with them

2. afraid of being in the big, bad world all alone -- too many decisions to make, and fearful of making one
