Yes, he's leaving because he realizes that our political system is irrevocably broken.  I'm sure people like you are singing and dancing, Henry.  Like those responsible for making people like Evan Bayh walk away shaking his head, you are too caught up in your partisan bullshit to realize that you are watching our country collapse.

First of all, if we had MORE people like Bayh representing the democratic party we would NOT be having the problems we are having today....and secondly I'm sick and tired of democrats bitching about partisan bullshit...when it is THEM who blocked out republicans and who has had closed door meetings...it is the democrats who COULD have passed ANY bill they wanted...they had the votes, but did NOT choose to vote, because they KNEW Americans did NOT want some of the bullshit that the democrat leader wanted to FORCE down the throats of Americans...

so don't give me this bullshit talk about the collapse of our Country because IF it falls, it falls at the leadership of a democrat Congress, a democrat Senate, and a democrat POTUS....

I had respect for Bayh, and I have even MORE respect for him, for making those statements yesterday.....NO, I'm not dancing...I'm a little sad, for the very reasons YOU mentioned...but NOT because of republicans.

Because it wasn't republicans who voted down the bill to form a committee to evaluate ways to control gevernment spending?  The seven republicans who co-sponsored the bill voted against it.

Then they should be exposed and held accountable......maybe they had good reasons to..and maybe they don't.........personally I"m sick of MOST of the losers in washington right now...but mostly the leadership who is blaming everyone but themselves.....Reid and Pelosi need to step down and let someone who IS going to get something done in charge.

I would not count Mr. Bayh out. I am not sure he could run as a Democrat again soon but I don't think he is quitting politics. I think he will probably run for president at some point. I rather like him most of the time, I voted for him for both of his senate races and also for governor. Another one of those wait and see situations.
