We had an absolutely gorgeous day. The high today was 77 and it's still 70. The sun is setting and streaking the sky w/brilliant shades of orange, pink and a golden yellow.

The expected low tonight is 42

I have NO idea what the temp is, but I'm sitting on my deck in shorts and a T (comfortably) watching another spectacular sunset and sipping an icy Corona

We had a freak miniature snow storm yesterday, and the weatherman never even acknowledged it.  :rolleyes: They were callin' for lite snow.... we ended up with the better part of 3 inches.  :spooked: Saturday night it was windy as all get out. We went with some friends to the Quad Cities for supper. On the way back my friend kept nagging her husband to slow down because, the roads were drifted really bad. When Hubby and I were on our way home, about a mile from where we live we met up with another car on a small bridge. Imagine our surprise (and the other driver's) when that bridge had a 2 foot high drift across it.  :spooked: We almost hit head on. Hubby lost control, and swerved to the left a little too hard. He tried to pull outta that swerve and over compensated, which sent us sliding across the other side of the road. We were a hair away from flippin' over in the ditch when the car finally came to a stop. Then the engine died and it hand to be restarted. Needless to say..... I freaked out and almost had a heart attack!!! (I'm not kiddin') I have heart problems and had quite a time gettin' my heart rate back down. I use breathing techniques when that happens. I can only liken that experience to that of a pin ball in a pin ball machine.  :rolleyes:

They are calling for 3 - 5 inches by tomorrow morning!!  I might be out of work all week!  :spooked:

I think we're suppose to get an inch tonight, and an inch tomorrow. I think there may be a storm on the way this weekend but, I hope that changes.  :yes:

We have tomorrow off but that just means I have to make it up a half a day on Saturday.  Boo!  But I got to stay out a little late on the date tonight! :biggrin:

Still 12 and snow to the north and south of us but I don't think any of it is going to get here 'cause it's movin' east too fast.
