It's a long story Daisy, but I will tell her that you asked about her. I miss her posts.  :(

Tell her I miss her, too. I love hearing about salsa!

Tell LRHG my prayers are with her, and also with you and her whole family. :smitten:

Slow but sure, my friend! I worked hard on it Saturday. I got some more wiring completed and insulated the Laundry Room. I only need to insulate the Master Bedroom and all of the insulation will be complete. I got some of the T&G ceiling up, but that is not an easy job for one person since the boards are 14 feet long. I have a friend coming over next Saturday to help with that, so I will wait on that until I have help. It goes a whole lot faster when you have an extra set of hands! I got my ducting run for my Master bathroom exhaust fan, and relocated my temporary lights so they won't be in the way while I insulate and cover the ceiling with T&G. I got a knee wall built for the loft that will isolate the Laundry from the Master Bedroom (so I won't hear the dryer running in the Bedroom). This will give the LRHG a nice shelf above the Laundryroom to display some of her baskets on. The LRHG and I talked about it, and we both decided to take our time and not rush into the house, so that I can do the best job possible and get the best results. We have a place that will keep us warm, so we don't really need to hurry. If I take my time and do it right, it will be a showcase, as well as a home. We will most likely move in some time in the Spring. Even at that, it will only be about a year and a half after starting the project. I have been building just at a year now. I think that is pretty good considering I really only get one good day of work on it each week, and I am the contractor, builder, and buyer, as well as the customer! ROFL! I will get pics later this week if at all possible. I haven't forgotten that floorplan either, just been to busy to dig it up! Have a great afternoon!

you too!
You've got the right attitude about it. If you rush to get it done...you'll have too many "should have, could haves" that will drive you nuts!

Had a great one actually! Got lots done yesterday. The heating system is all hooked up and ready for water when I can get it. My son suggested that I run a garden hose across and feed the house from the trailer so we can run the main heat. It is a good idea, since I would only be recirculating whats in the lines. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to test the system and get any bugs worked out before the flooring is put down. I will get it ready for pressure testing and then decide whether I want to do that or not. The LRHG is all for it! LOL  She is just naturally cold, so any thoughts of heat is a good thing to her!

Wow, it's all coming together. That sounds wonderful. Tell LRHG we miss her.

Red Haired Girl

Hi all... thanks for the kind notes you have sent my way.  It is in the process of being an "up and down" kind of year at school, and with life in general.  I thought i'd just take a minute to stop by and put the "Howdy" on you guys.  Magistrate is, of course, in the house working tonight.  He and a friend worked for several house today, still working on the ceilings.  That tongue-in-groove is beautiful, but "easy" is NOT an appropriate adjective for it!  But, every piece gets us closer to finished on that part.
we had a blast a couple of weeks ago when the local Lowe's was closing it doors (only to reopen in a new local across town, so not to worry!) But, they were closing the old one out with 20% off.  So, Magistrate and I spent the whole Saturday either shopping or making trips to and from unloading the truck.LOL... and, oh yeah... it was Veretans Day weekend... so, as Magistrate "drove" submarines for the Navy for 13 years, we got an extra 10% off! We had a blast... and got most of the fixtures, etc. to complete the work. (Now we are 'working around' some of the things, but it was a good feeling to get the materials, and at such a good discount!
The Lord has richly blessed my basket business with the upcoming Christmas holiday.  I have been busy working the business, delivering baskets, ordering baskets, etc.  I have 2 BIG boxes in the front room that need to be emptied, and then delivered or wrapped before I get them to hubbies to put under the tree for their honeys.
I will be back in as things wind down... or when I can wind down! LOL

If you don't have anything nice to say then come over here and sit by me!

Magistrate

Well my friends. I have gotten the gas logs up and working and the new home is warm to work in now! But the best news is that I also have my underfloor heat working! I brought the system up ytesterday and it is still raising the floor temp as I type this. I am doing it slowly to prevent shocking the concrete floor. I have the temp at 66 and am slowy bringing it up to 71. I hope it will be close to that point when we get home from church. I will let you know what we think of it later today when the floor is up to temp.  Have a great day!
