No. . . I'd be tagged as a murderer, thief, serial killer, etc. . .
If it made the story more sensational by saying you were raised as a Southern Babtist that is what you would be tagged before they would say you were an agnostic.  There is no controversy in saying a person is an agnostic. Besides, as you pointed out to Troll, most people don't know what being agnostic really means. Fpr that matter how many people think an athiest is the same as a satanist?

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

The following article, about Halloween, is written by Dr. Marc Rivera, a senior pastor at Primitive Christian Church in New York.  Can anyone else, besides me, spot the absolute delicious irony in this article, especially the part about "they see and speak to unknown invisible personalities?"   ;D

Beloved:

Halloween concerns me! Religions throughout the world observe this day as a time to pray and remember believers, saints, martyrs and other people that have died. Although my faith tradition does not practice praying for the departed, I fully understand the academic history from which these ideas emerge. I can even grasp the link made in this country with the harvest, whereby apple bobbing, carving pumpkins and setting bonfires are practiced as a way to celebrate the successful and bountiful crop yield.

Honestly, where I get lost is with the focus on evil, ghosts, divination, witches, haunted attractions, etc. History clearly shows that these practices come from Pagan roots and Celtic ritual. Did you know that dressing in a character comes from the 18th century practice of imitating malignant spirits?

I am further, disturbed that our children are exposed to these negative elements under the guise of a wholesome family celebration. Then we wonder why our kids can't sleep at night when they are overcome by fear, or they see and speak to unknown invisible personalities. (Children are much more spiritually discerning than adults!)

Beloved, the powers of darkness are real and should not be taken lightly. Messing with fire always results in terrible burns. The meaning of the word Halloween is 'holy evening,' yet I doubt that part of the festive plan of many is to actually go to church.

I will not celebrate something that I don't understand. Even if it seems to some that I am ill-informed, fanatical, old-fashioned or someone that spoils the party: I know that I am none of those things.

My advice is to think through what you will do this Saturday, October 31, 2015. Carefully consider not following the crowd down a dark road, but instead staying on the path of light that Jesus has illuminated. It might be unpopular but definitely healthier for you and your loved ones. Remember that ultimately we will give account to God (Romans 14:12).

To think that once I would have agreed with this man!  So glad I shed all that nonsense.

" History clearly shows that these practices come from Pagan roots...."  Does he celebrate Christmas?  After all, that has its basis in Paganism.  I find it amusing the Christians that won't celebrate Halloween because of its Pagan roots, but will celebrate Christmas.  Where do they think most of the traditions for Christmas came from?

I also liked this one:
"(Children are much more spiritually discerning than adults!)"  More spiritually discerning than adults?  How about a better imagination than adults!
