Home fried chicken, collard greens w/pork seasoning, mashed potatoes and homemade chicken gravy, brown beans and green onions and cornbread. For dessert we have from scratch pineapple upside down cake and an apple pie. I might have some directly as soon as I can breathe again. ;D

For those of you who are shocked ;D this is a meal from my heritage. I crave this type of thing about once a year and you can't cook this stuff in a small way, so I get a group of people together who like southern food  and I cook it all. I have enough people over so that there aren't any left overs and I get it out of my system. I do think I fry chicken better than anyone 'cept my mom.

With a meal like that, I figured Mom had came home to cook.

If she could, I'd gladly step aside and let her take over. Nobody cooks like she did. :(

Put a big pot of chili on for supper but I think I might have over done it on the chili powder and chili's.  Tasted it a minute ago and it's still burning my mouth....Oh well, it'll open up our sinus'...

Just finished cooking a big pot of vegetable soup and a big pot of Chili for eating and freezing.  Carrots still a little hard, so we will start on the Chili first.  Really good on an icy and snowy day. :drool1:

A big bowl of chile and it wasn't too hot after all.

Nothing but coffee.  But in a few minutes I might fry a whole pound of bacon and think about all of the work I missed, if it had been snow instead of ice.  Probably 6 to 8 inches. :o
