Had two of the grandkids over for an all night stay yesterday. Decided I would make them some breakfast burritos this morning about 10pm last night, so I had to run out to Meijer for some eggs and burrito sized tortillas. . .

As I pulled into the lot I saw 2 APD squad cars sitting at the pharmacy entrance. . . "Great. Shoplifter", I thought to myself as I parked all the way on the other side near the grocery side entrance to avoid any of the BS. . .

I got out of my vehicle and as I got close to the doors, I saw a guy running and a female officer in hot pursuit. She tackled him right on the concrete apron leading to the parking lot, right in front of me. And a male officer was right behind them. Got him. Cold.

As I walked by I was amazed to hear and see how respectful both officers were toward the offender. They cuffed him, helped him up, and even wiped dirt and leaves from his clothing and the Colts jacket and hat he was wearing. . . With smiles on their faces. 

What a jackass. . .  :rant:  I almost took the punkinhead with me but decided against it. Glad I did. . .  :mad:

And the hits just keep on coming. . .

Tonight as I drove 32 east on the way home from work, I came to one of those wacky intersections with a stop light; specifically the intersection of 32 & 31. As my front tires crossed the solid white line of the intersection the light turned yellow. This is a complicated intersection with lights for the off ramps of 31 north and south, & 32 east and west, each timed separately so drivers can enter and exit 31 and 32 without worrying about cross traffic.

I proceeded through and as I approached the intersection with the off ramp for 31 some jackass in a Buick begins turnin. Turning right. There is a merge lane so my assumption was he was going to bear to the right in the merge lane until I passed him. But it was a Buick so my idiot radar was pinging loudly. And it was not wrong.

As I came alongside this asshat, he began swinging over into my lane. I swerved to the left in an equal tragectory to him expecting him to realize there was a Black Jeep in that lane, but he didn't ; and I took evasive action to avoid the collision. I had to cross over into the west bound lane to do so. But I avoided the idiot. . .

I know what you're thinking; "Where's a cop when you need one?" Right?!. . . .

The road east feeds into a roundabout, so the merge lane is lengthy. Must have been my 🍀 day for as the idiot finished his merge unfazed, and I swung back into the lane in front of him, there in my rear view mirrors appeared the very answer to that question I was also thinking. . .

Disco lights. I immediately pulled into the merge lane in case he wanted me, but he pulled right behind that Buick and it's bluehaired pilot, and the idiot kept driving on.

I fell in a safe distance behind them and the jackass finally pulled over just before the roundabout.  I pulled forward very slowly and asked the cop if he needed me. He smiled and said, Nah. I saw the whole thing. He didn't hit you did he?

Nope. Thank you sir! Nicely done! I replied as I cruised on through.

Where's a cop when you need one? Right behind the jackass!

I'll get my lottery ticket tomorrow on the way back to work. 😎

First they allow the elimination of pension funds.
Now they're reducing the amount you can put into its replacement, the 401k.
They are eliminating a large chunk of the mortgage deduction, removing the ONLY real deduction left to the middle class.

Two cycles of this bullshit and 70% of the middle class, what is left of it, will be homeless or living in rented housing.

Four cycles and 90 % will be homeless. And the housing industry will collapse completely. 😡😡😡😡
