Look. I disagreed that McCain was a good choice for POTUS; his "choice" of running mate aside. I stand by that choice I made back then. I would not change that at all.

But to degrade a man with 7 children, 5 grandchildren, and a wife. . . A man that served his country honorably as a member of its military, enduring capture, and then choosing to continue to serve this country via elected office, and who is now dying of brain cancer. That goes beyond despicable. (On top of besmirching his service record and introducing entirely false innuendo by saying "I prefer those that don't get captured.")

Fuck that shit. I may not have agreed with his candidacy, and even some of his political initiatives, but the man has absolutely earned my respect, and always has, for his commitment, sacrifices, suffering, and service to this country. And he and his entire family absolutely have my empathy and sympathy as they endure not just the toughest battle of their lives, but an entirely unacceptable and uncalled for attack upon the life and service of John McCain. 

Trump and his entire cabinet are not deserving of one nano-second of whatever remains of John McCain's time and breath. The "aid" that is responsible for making the "he's dying anyway" comment should be summarily fired, and the Raging Cheeto needs to be disciplined over his ongoing besmirching of the man's service and reputation.

No man or woman is above the laws of this nation, and certainly the professional behaviors standards for every single one of our elected officials should be set much higher than they apparently are.

This country is a shithole at this point in time.

Okay, I debated on replying, because it really won't mean squat, but from what I now understand is, that those comments was said in a private setting and was LEAKED.  It was a bad joke that wasn't intended for public display.  Had she said this in a public setting, the hell yes, she should be fired.  In this case, it wasn't.  She should not be fired.  She made an apology, immediately. 


People are TOO quick to jump on anything with an opinion, before they get the full story.  I have been guilty of this in the past...and I try to WAIT before I respond.


The problem is our MEDIA is the most guilty of this........CNN and ABC has both been too anxious to try to bury the POTUS with in-factual information.


As far as McCain....I don't like him.  Being a so-called war hero doesn't automatically give him a "pass" for being a dick.  He is a dick.  I do not wish bad things for him..and I pray that he is finding peace at this time of his life....but he is still a dick and is not a conservative like he "pretends" to be.

When you are a public servant, being paid by the sweat off the backs of every living person in the nation, expectations are much higher. (As they should be).
Had this been you making the same statement, within the very same kind of "venue" (In private), you would be summarily fired and without legal recourse in this state I will point out.

For a public servant there is no expectation of privacy to be had. . . Anytime. Anywhere. As is the case with most citizens of this country, freedom of speech does not exist. Sure you can say what you want, anytime, anywhere, and are free to do so. But once those words are presented within a public venue, the bell is rung; marking the death of your career and your constitutional right to free speech.
