A place for miscellaneous drive-by bitches that don't warrant their own thread.

Whistling ducks!!     These fuckers were fighting in the back yard at 6:00 AM this morning.  Loud whistling, jumping up in the air, feathers flying.    Worse than waking up to an alarm clock.

The most annoying species of duck ever!

We have a problem with Canadian geese here in Northern Virginia. They are so graceful and beautiful ... until ... you decide to take a walk and -- I used to walk through a nice retirement community  -- beautiful place -- wide sidewalks, perfect place to walk, but I kept wondering what kind of people would walk their dogs and let them poop on the sidewalks and not clean it up. Was stunned to find it was the geese. There's a pond in the community also and they can be seen walking with their young -- charmng, until you -- uh, oh -- watch out! Too late

My biggest gripe? People who volunteer to help with something and never follow through. WTH is wrong with those people?

There is a large segment of the population who do that, both on in volunteer situation, and in a paid work situation.  I'm of a mind that if you don't want to do something that I ask you to do, either on a volunteer basis or for remuneration, then simply say so.  Don't beat around the bush, say you're going to do it, and then 3 or 4 weeks later I find that it hasn't been done, and you're now avoiding my phone calls.  It's far easier just to say no straight out of the gate, but I guess some can't seem to do that.
