But they do have that back-up plan.  When children die, "It's God plan."  "It is his will."  That's the Catch-22 for prayer for them.

Yup!

They always have the backup plan.  The version I heard was, "God answers prayers in 3 ways.  Yes, no, and maybe."  Problem is, you never know how long you're supposed to wait to find out about the maybe part.  It really is a form of brainwashing.
