Oh goody, I know you and a lot of other people are thrilled about that.

Yeah, it's the only time of the year that really sucks.  You have to keep your eye on things.

Even if its extremely windy and raining like crazy, as in 100mph winds?

I have a healthy respect for lightning but I'm not terrified by it.

I have flashbacks of a lightening bolt striking the lightening rod on my grandma's house when I was 5, followed by a big fire ball that rolled across the yard and the accompaning sulfer smell.

I've been close enough to smell it too.  It isn't fun.

When I was around 10 a tree in our front yard got struck by lightning.  Split the tree down the middle.  I don't want to experience that again.

As many years ago as I experienced that you'd think I'd forget the smell at least but I remember it all. I was standing on the couch looking out the window and that fireball came off the roof about 20ft from me. It probably wasn't as big as I remember it since I was so small but it was still a fireball.  :spooked:

It did.  We were in the living room playing and reading and we all jumped when the tree was hit.  Took me many years to not be terrified of thunderstorms.

I'm not too bad unless its real windy and the clouds look funny.

You can't be a weather wimp and live in Florida.  Too much lightning and the occasional hurricane.
