So your idea of a sound government is for them to redistribute the money ..... from each according to their ability; to each according to their need?  Is that what you are saying?

Yes Henry, you should pay taxes according to your ability to pay taxes.  Yes Henry, a millionaire and a billionaire should be made to pay more taxes than you.  More than you pay on the money from that pathetic scab job.  Henry, why do you spend your time defending the super rich when you're only 6 months away from bankruptcy if you lost all of your income.   I know you don't have much in retirement account to live, if you would retire.  :haha:  :haha:  You just don't know what side your bread is buttered on and  like the super rich assholes gives a damn what happens to you and the people you just happen to love.  :jester:  Long live Sheeple Henry.  :haha:

Not as a percentage of their income.

Well if we would get rid of the loopholes as the republicans are asking they would pay more as a percentage.

So would you if you are paying for a house, paying for daycare, getting a deduction for health care premiums, etc. etc.

From CNN: "It took until the presidential campaign was over, but Mitt Romney finally figured out the sinister plan Barack Obama executed to win re-election. Here's how it worked: During his first term, Obama craftily carried out policies that helped improve Americans' lives, thereby tricking them into voting to re-elect him. Diabolical!

That's like a cup full of water in Lake Michigan compared to the hundreds of billions Bush spent on two unnecessary wars that accomplished nothing but really?  Do you think that's what did it for him?  Of course, those people wouldn't have needed food stamps if your guy hadn't crashed the economy.

Uh, don't you have a kid in college living off of the government?

That's a good story but it isn't true.

He must've had the shortest enlistment ever if he's out already?

I don't mean to cry poor, but I sure wish I'd have had food stamps in my undergrad days.

I came from a home that did not have running water in it.

Ate bread sticks that I stole from restaurants in the area.

Went back later and paid for my bread sticks (and other assorted foodstuffs that I stole), only to find out that the waitresses knew I what I was doing all along.

I was so ashamed.

Gave the owner what I thought I had stolen, and he said he really didn't care; that we (obviously, there were others) would eventually do enough good in the world that, for him, it was an investment in the future.

That man taught me the difference between a greedy, nothing-is-enough owner, and a caring, thoughtful businessman.

A bunch of us got together and made sure he was able to retire and take care of his family.

Amazing man.
