I love snow. . .  :snowbl:  I love the cold. . .  :cold: (Except that blistering cold. You can keep that).

But BAH HUMBUG on Xmas!  :santa: :grinch: :grinch: Except for the kids. The only part of it I find any enjoyment from is the smile it puts on their faces on Christmas morning. Beyond that it is a commercial scam designed to pillage the household budget and fill the coffers of retail businesses, who hire seasonal workers for minimum wages.

The lights only serve to remind me that another birthday is coming and I am approaching one less year left in my expiration dating.  :spooked:

I hate ice storms also. In 2009, we were without power for almost 2 weeks.

This is the time of year I hate.  4:30 and it's almost dark.   >:(    On the plus side, there are many houses decorated with Christmas lights to brighten the dark!

I'll take your silver lining, AbbyTC.

I play a game this time of year to stop the blues from coming.  I think it's up until the 21st of December, we has less and less daylight. Then, I think it's the 22nd, we start increasing our daylight...so, I look forward to the 22nd and pretend I see more daylight on that day....I know, it's a silly game, but it makes me happy. so . . .  ;D

Sometimes I meet people and I feel bad for their dog.

Or their cat!

I can't either.

  My positive side is still hoping it won't be that bad.  But that side of me is getting smaller every day.
