The Troll

Anyone have any thoughts about President Obama's commutation of Ms. Manning's sentence? It seems what she did caused a lot of harm in some areas but some people thought what she did was a good thing. I thought it was almost but not quite treason.

I think he did the right thing.  It is amazing how a general of the army can give his girl friend Super Secrets and he doesn't serve one day and some little screwed up slick sleeve soldier gets 37 years in prison.  He/she embarrassed some higher ups, but did no damage to the country.   Obama.   :4th3:

One thing I never liked about the military justice was all noncoms are tried by officers.  They are not tried by their peers, other soldier of lower rank.  So there is a lot of the soldiers get railroaded and I do mean railroaded to the point of being shot.

Congrats, Locutus on hitting 35,000 posts!  You sure spend an awful lot of time on here, don't you?

I'm amazed at how some stuff is shipped to me at work.  I handle the supply ordering and this is from my last order.

The box is about 20" by 20".  I took out all the packing material and found this lonely guy.

Really.  They couldn't find a smaller box?

Hum, seems like one of those padded envelopes would have worked just as well and been a lot cheaper postage wise.

You would think they could have found a smaller box. I don't know if they would be allowed to send those in a padded envelope.

Have you noticed how close in the size of a basketball or football these boxes are.     This means that they can be passed, thrown or dropped without damaging the product in side.   :fball: :bsball: :bball:

The more I think about it I do believe you're correct about the envelope but, yes, they could have sent it in a smaller box.

The shipments are delivered are a truck, most times directly from our supplier, so no postage necessary.  They do have smaller boxes and padded envelopes that this would have fit in quite well.

Maybe they have an overabundance of medium sized boxes.
