I am convinced that Indiana now has only three seasons: winter, monsoon, and drought!

Have you ever wondered how the city, county and state road workers can turn a pot hole into a large speed bump.

Yep, like 4 years of college is over rated and a legal way for discrimination.  Who ever heard of being turned down of a job by being over qualified.     They do it in every way and every day.

Then there's the other side of the coin where someone who could do a job perfectly well but who happens to lack a "formal" education is turned down.  In some instances they may even be better qualified than the person who was formally educated and that really sucks.

So in this instance, you advocate telling business owners what to do?

This is an amazing and very sad story about a dog's love for his master. This sweet heartbroken dog...

I am SO shocked that this didn't catch PH's attention.

I immediately thought of you because of your connection with your dog. It also reminds me of the sweet black lab that lives next door. I found out a month or so ago that her master died a uear ago or so. It came up in conversation when I mentioned that I like to take Benji to the water. She said that her son used to take Liz every Sat moring The don't take her anymore, but she waits by the door every Sat. I offered to take her when I take Benji. She was polite, but I don't think they'll ever take me up on it.

Isn't it amazing how these animals just know so much more than we often give them credit for.  When my Mom passed, we had a dog, named Sammy, who was a part german sheperd and part collie, he was just a fantastic dog, who amazed us on many levels with his demeanor and intelligence.  But, when I came home from the hospital, Sammy KNEW something was up and went into the house and layed by her chair.  He kept on licking my had (something he never did) and followed me around for days, like he was worried about me.  I know that he knew she was no longer with us and his heart was breaking and he knew mine was.

This was a cool story Sandy, thanks for passing it on.  8)
