We've been in the moving process all week, no end in sight.  Got the wife moved out of the apartment, and now we have get serious about moving stuff out of the old house.  I see a U-haul in my future.  Burning up to much gas making multiple trips with the pick up.  We did spend Thursday night in the new place, and will be back there for good tonight.  Got the 4-4-2 and Goldwing up there already.

Direct TV was there yesterday setting up the HDTV dish, and Wild Blue will be out Monday for the internet hook-up.

Had the 4-4-2 out for a very short drive yesterday.  Put the mufflers back on it, tightened up a couple of bolts, then hit the road.  Got a cylinder misfiring, most likely a fouled plug, but the old gal still has a boat load of get up and go.

Yep, back to the day when they made Detroit steel and mighty fine cars.  You want to trade in for a new Kia or a SmartCar, you probably get an even trade.

Went to Goodguys last weekend and sold the Vista Cruiser at the swap meet.  New owner picks it up Wednesday.  Normally I would be sad to see one go, but I have lost all interest in this project that has been delayed way too many times.  Besides, It was supposed to be a quick replacement for the Malibu wagon I had been bracket racing, and now I have no real interest in getting back into that at this time.  I can now concentrate on doing my 4-4-2 up right, and enjoying it.  Only after it is done, will I look for another project.

The wife and I took a little two wheeled excursion yesterday.  Road down to Bloomington, then over to Spencer, and finally back home to Jamestown.  Didn't go far, took a couple of breaks along the way, had to keep it in check on the wife's first ride of the season.

Are you going to do any of those road trips this year where you have to find certain things?

Yes we will be doing another tour this year.  This one is called Hodgepodge, due to the various things we need to find.  No theme as such, just a little bit of everything.  On of the items is a National Park.  That will require an overnight trip to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, the closest to us.  Everything else I can get in one day rides here and there.

Be careful out there this season.  The drivers appear to be less and less attentive to the job of driving.

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

In other words: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  ;)

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair

"Hitler is gone, but if the majority of our fellow citizens are more susceptible to the slogans of fear and race hatred than to those of peaceful accommodation and mutual respect among human beings, our political liberties remain at the mercy of any eloquent and unscrupulous demagogue." -- S. I. Hayakawa

Palehorse

I rode the steel horse to work and back today.  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Wasn't going to do that until I changed the oil, but when I stepped outside to leave and got into the truck, something overtook me and I grabbed my sunglasses, unplugged the battery tender, grabbed the keys, and before I came to I had my legs in the breeze!

(Now it'll start raining and the spring monsoons will begin!)
