I think both of you are going to get a reprieve from the looks of things and you will be able to get both yard work and saddle time in.

How I know for a fact, that is true.  It happened to me.

We went for a ride Saturday, in the car with the A/C on!  It gets almost as good as mileage as the Goldwing, and with the heat and humidity, we were a lot more comfortable.  Hated not riding, but by the end of the day we were in much better condition.

Father's Day was the 25th anniversary of the time I was run over on my bike and nearly lost my leg. . . and my life.

I kept the steel horse in the barn and my ass at home because of it. . .

Ain't it the truth.

Lost some skin, a lot of dignity, and nearly all my faith in other drivers while trying to enjoy my pastime.

Got some good news yesterday.  I had mentioned a while back that my job was going away, and I had decided to retire at that time.  Well, they gave us dates yesterday.  On August the 9th, I will officially be on re-allocation.  I will have 90 days to find another position, or I am out the door with severance.  Better yet, since I am where I am with years of service and all that.  I can retire at that time and still get the full amount of severance pay, on top of my retirement.  A win-win for me.

Yes, I have hit the Eli Lilly lottery!!!!  They are going to give me 21 months of pay to retire with no reduction in any benefits.  To keep from upsetting the apple cart, I will likely work until the 13th so I get a full check for that pay period.  It will take about a month for the severance check to arrive, so I have to maintain everything until then.  I'll get my first pension check on the 1st of September.

It's been a long 37+ years to get here, but then again it seems like yesterday that i walked in for the first time.  Gonna miss some of the people, but not the ever increasing BS of corporte America.
