I can't seem to figure out how the SOB that shot Magnum made it back to the police car uninjured.    Seems to me he should have resisted more.

So you believe in police brutality.  The cops are to bring in the criminal to the courts.  They are not jury, judge and executioner.  To many cops feel that they have to right to try you and punish you.

Being a biker you should know how cops treat bikers, it isn't pretty.   :police: :spooked:

I hate to say it, you guys are talking bullshit.  The powers that be would throw your asses in jail and throw the key away.  Let's get real.

Yeah I know, but I would almost rather see a person get shot instead of the dog that was doing what it was trained to do.  Sorry, but I just like most dogs better than most humans.

Yeah. Me, too.

Zimmerman thought that with stand your ground law.  A jewelry shop owner thought that when he was robbed as gun point.  As the robber was running away with the goods he shot the robber in the back.   A jury found him guilty because the robber was running away and was no danger to the owner and victim.  He how is serving time.  Don't sound fair to me and I wouldn't have convicted him, but shit does happen.

Don't even fucking try it...totally different situation.  This scumbag robbed a bank, hid in a field, the dog was sent after him and he shot the dog, ultimately killing it.  Innnocent people aren't hiding, armed, in a crop field.  Not sure, exactly, what your issue with law enforcement is and I'm not necessarily a fan either, but you're way off base here.  Yes, the police make mistakes, often, and they overstep their boundaries more often than not and I have personallly been a victim of that but would you rather that we simply have no police?  Do you think you can fend for yourself?

Some cop don't play fair in anyway.  They take their dog to the dentist and replace their canine teeth with titanium teeth.  I really don't know what I would do if a charging police dog was charging me.  If I had a gun I would shoot it.  Just like the cops shot a police dog attacking it own handler.

Or a man who was sitting in his own yard when a police dog got loose and attacked him.  If he had shot it would you want to kill him too.

There is no doubt we need cops.  But a whole lot of them are jack booted morons.  We need a civilian board to can fire cop for police brutality and other miscarriages.  Right now they get by with murder.  Run them down, beat them up and lock them up, no matter who their are.   :police:

I generally agree with you but this situation is not like any of those you describe.  The person the dog was after actually robbed a bank, the police pursued him and he shot a police dog trying to escape.  If this perp had run into and shot your wife while escaping, would your attitude be different?

I understand and agree that law enforcement officers often overstep their boundaries, abuse their powers and victimize innocent people...been there; done that.  That was not the case here and a dog who was just doing what he had been trained to do died as a consequence of removing a scumbag from our society.  The evidence in this case is overwhelming and irrefutable.  Suggesting that the police were somehow at fault for sending their dog into a soybean field after an "innocent" armed suspect is assinine.

Say what you want, think what you want, you're over 21, free, white, male.  I'll think what I want, because I'm 74, free, white, male.  But I still think you and the Hawk are going a little overboard.   :tiphat:

What should they do with this asshat when they catch him?

"Law enforcement authorities in Madison County are currently searching for a suspect in the vicinity of Grandview Golf Course and Madison Avenue, according to scanner traffic. The search followed a police car chase, during which Elwood police fired at least one shot.

The suspect has been identified as Joshua Basey. A search of criminal records online reveals a Joshua David Basey, who has faced charges of theft, invasion of privacy, intimidation, battery, resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, rape, sexual misconduct with a minor and invasion of privacy -- all since 2010 and all in Madison County."

You say that the police have fired one shot.  Does he have a gun or are the cops just trying to kill him.   :police:

With the record he is suppose to have why isn't he in jail.  What are they HUNTING him for now.  But of course cops can shoot you if you run away from them on foot if they tell you to stop and they don't have anything against you except running away from them.  I happens everyday.  I sure would like to know how many people the cop kill every year.  I'll bet it would be a shock to the nation.

Your turn, I know you think just like the Hawk who thinks that cops do no wrong.  Because he has some friends that are cops.  I'll bet they are not close friends.  Why, because cops don't have close civilian friends.  It's against the BLUE LAW because you might be the cop to arrest your friend and cop don't arrest cops.  :tiphat:
