Gets any dryer around these parts and this whole fuggin town is going to combust.

This afternoon, lots of lightening and thunder, but I can produce more moisture with one spit than what fell. And it seems this evening it is going to do the exact same thing.

That lighting hits the right stand of trees and break out the hot dogs cause this place is going to be the new "WACO". (What a cook out)
It poured down here for about 20min.

I sure glad the Republicans tell us that there is no and won't be any global warming.  :haha:  I don't think I could stand it if it got any hotter :sun: and dryer.   :tweed:    :sun:    :tweed:     :flame:

Me neither!  It's hazy, hot and humid here. Feels like August!  A lot of people left town for the beaches, but a lot more have been coming in because of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War on Monday. Those coming in are the Rolling Thunder -- thousands of motorcycles. When you happen on them, the sight and sound is impressive.  I plan to stay out of their way, stay in and watch it on TV.

Pretty amazing just how lame some people are who scream global warming EVERY hot day we have........simply incredible.  It is supposed to be a high of 68 degrees next friday........are we in an ice age next week?

It was 93 degrees back in 1991 on this week end.  In 2005 we had a low of 28 degrees on memorial weekend.

You don't believe there is a God.........I don't believe there is man made global warming going on right now.

The warming we are experiencing has zero do to with man......

20,000 acres burning in Michigan.

Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah are also burning. Each of these fires combined occupy over 200 square miles of land, and each are being driven by an abnormally dry spring season. . .

How lame is that?

to say that you have emperical evidence that it was caused by man made global warming.

The record is perfectly clear supporting the fact that the earth's average temperature has risen 1 degree over the last century. Moreover, the fact we are seeing weather extremes and drought, along with coastal erosion and loss of ice caps and glaciers are further evidence of this change.

That you refuse to recognize the science does not impact its credibility one iota. Nor does your denial do anything toward slowing down or reversing the problem; one that most assuredly will see your grandchildren roasting like hot dogs on the grill will be tomorrow.

I will be long past fertilizer before it happens, but make no mistake happen it will. And that to our children and grandchildren, who will curse every last one of us as they lay sizzling on the ground.

If one degree doesn't sound like a lot, consider this: the difference in global average temperatures between modern times and the last ice age—when much of Canada and the northern U.S. were covered with thick ice sheets—was only about 9 degrees Fahrenheit. So in fact one degree is very significant—especially since the unnatural warming will continue as long as we keep putting extra greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

there is only one "emperical" fact and that is Climate change is going to happen, with or without our help.  I'm not going to say that we have not contributed to polluting this earth and we need to be good stewards of this plantet.

and  we have just recently had 49 former NASA employees has asked for NASA to stay out of what they see as a politicized and unsubstantiated field — human-caused global warming.

I just think we need to be more certain before we begin to ruin economies with hitting them with cash burdens to fight something that MAY not be caused by humans.

Yep, too bad all this science wasn't around during the ice age.  Maybe we could have prevented that from happening and the big guy's would have still been roaming the earth...
