What the hell is up with these doofus kids these days? They run around wearing shorts when it's snowing and colder than a witches tit in a steel bra! The low will be a balmy ONE degree tonight, and tomorrow's high MIGHT reach 12.

I want to see one of those idiots out in that weather! I might have to pimp slap him just on principle!  :icon_twisted:

We can only hope that exposure to those frigid temperatures would be sufficient to prevent reproduction.  ;D

Ours is supposed to be a 1080 but we'll never be able to use it thanks to Brachula TV.  They're not a place to be sending your TV's to be repaired for sure.  Long story but to shorten it up I called a person I trusted when it went out a little less than a year after we bought it not thinking about the warranty, we bought it at HH Gregg, and he didn't know anything about HD TV but recommended Brachula.  Turns out they didn't know anything about them either but didn't say so and burnt a vital part trying to solder where they shouldn't have.  What would have been a $100 repair ended up costing us $600 and they, Brachula, ruined our chances of it ever being 1080 again.  To top it all off they weren't going to bring the TV back to us, they had to take it to the shop.  HH Gregg's repairman fixed it right in our living room.  Ours is a rear projection so it's not as compact as yours PH.  It has so damn many ways to connect stuff in the back it's unreal.  There are inputs and outputs out the rear.

I thought about buying one until my son bought one.  You know, I don't need to see every wild hair, pimple, black head and every wrinkle.  But I do have to say that they produced beautiful scenery pictures.

But for these old eyes :eye: the picture is not worth the cost.  The one I got now is about a year and a half old and it sure produces a good picture.

We have two that are 720p and I thought that was really great. But once I saw 1080p in true HD. . . WOW! There really is a difference and it is very apparent from the moment you first see it. But it does take adjustment to get used to. It just makes what we normally consider television formatting appear to be home movies shot with a digital camera! (If you know what I mean by that).

ME- My neighbor has a newer rear projection TV and he loves it. We watched the Indy Raiders playoff game  a couple of weeks back on it, and it was very nice. He has had it about a year and a half, and had a bulb go out about a month ago. He said it was a snap to change, so he still loves it. (He has direct tv HD and the signal / picture was crystal clear and sharp.

Now I need to go out and buy an up converting dvd player that can hook up to the tv via HDMI cable. The one we've got is fine for 720p, but at 1080p it is disappointing to watch. . . (I have to adjust the TV down to 720p in order to make it acceptable, so it is ok for now). That will have to wait for awhile though. . .

We have a HD DVD player  and that's the only way we got to see what it was like since the lines out here are so old it didn't support HD even when we had it from Comcast which was Insight at the time.  Ours is a 63in and it's great for watching sports games.

10 police officers shot in the last week nation-wide. How long before the gun grabbers use these incidents as a means to run their gun grabbing initiatives up the flag pole once again!

Locally, Indianapolis Police Officer David Moore was shot during a traffic stop and is currently fighting for his life after being shot in the face twice, the thigh once, and his vest stopped a fourth round. ALL perpetrated by a 60 year old career criminal who has 10 felony convictions and  who was mistakenly let out after what should have been an 11th conviction for violation of parole due to being arrested for theft! (This is being explained as a failure to communicate between the DOC and IPD, but my question is, why didn't the court see he was a career criminal and on parole?)

On December 3rd last year my sister experienced two ruptured discs and she has been off work since that time. She is a nurse, and she pays through the nose for disability insurance (long term-short term).

This has become a NIGHTMARE because she is still off work and her health insurance is requiring second opinions and other redundant testing to be done, before they will okay her for the surgery she needs. In addition, she has to keep up her health care premiums or she will lose her coverage. Not unreasonable is it? Not normally, but. . .

The Disability insurance has yet to start paying her, and she has now effectively been placed into dire straights by this failure. Her phone, electric, cable, and health insurance are now all notifying her that they will be cutting her off unless payment is received, and she is STILL waiting for them to pay her!

She called them herself today to find out what the hold up is. Seems they are awaiting the doctor to submit his diagnosis for the first MRI she had done on 12/7! (My sister now cannot even afford the meds they prescribed her nor her maintenance meds she is supposed to be taking!) Hello! She asked them if they had called the doctor's office to request this, and . .  . silence! She then asked them why their premiums are so high when they are clearly not willing to uphold even the most basic of their job responsibilities and responsibility toward their customers.

My sister is calling her doctor tomorrow to make sure they sent the required information.

This is BULLSHIT!

was thinking the same things earlier today. It seems every day here the past couple of weeks, the news has a story of another fallen officer.

Here's a story that has captured my attention and interestingly enough, initially I found out about it from friends. I have some friends who are also friends of this family. It's now making the national news, but she's been missing for a month.

IT TAKES THE LUCK OF THE RIGHT DOCTOR!

WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS UNTIL ONE DOCTOR SAW HER AND ASKED WHY SHE WAS SENT TO HIM AND SHE SAID SHE HAD TO PROVE SHE WAS PERMANANTLY HANDICAPPED!

HE EXPLODE AND SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT AND WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AFTERWARD!

SORYY GUY BUT IT IS ALL THE LUCK OF THE DRAW!

MY WIFE HAS BEEN TOTALLY WITHOUT USE OF HER LEGS SINCE THE AGE OF TWO AND STILL HAD TO PROVE IT TO DISABILITY!

I KNOW ANOTHER GUY WITH A CAGE HOLDING HIM UP INSTEAD OF HIS SPINE>>>>>>>>>>>STILL HAS NOT QUALIFIED FOR DISABILTY AFTER FIVE YEARS OF DOCTORS!

Have you ever noticed the worse you need disability the harder it is to get?  Some who can't read or is an alcoholic can get it before someone like you're talking about Don.  That just isn't right.

Yes it is, especially if you have ''personal fiend" who knows where to get it, but you still can find help.  With the Republican party and it's health platform, the poor and middle class poor won't be able to find any help at all.  "Stop the job killing Obama health plan"  Who in hell need a health program. :knife: :flag: :salute:  THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON'T WANT IT."
