Timmy is next.  Any of these saints out preaching their crap is usually guilty of something far more sinister than the rest of us.  Of course, they are usually republicans, as well.
Bet your eyes are brown aren't they Dan.......

Yes, I have a problem with hypocrites and the absolute dishonesty of christianity (especially from its mob/cult leadership).

I just spent 3 hours moving snow out my driveway that I know damned good and well I moved on Friday of last week and Monday of this week. . .  :sweetheart: :bliss: :bliss: :bliss: :bliss: :bliss: :sweetheart:

One or two more blasts like we had last week and I might get damned near happy about it!

The snow in my drive and at the front of the house is about knee deep or a little better. Now when it gets toward the chestnuts I'll be happy!

Okay. . . I know we had a "genius" topic but I'll probably explode before I find it to post this. . .

How ignorant can some people be? Anybody with a centimeter of mass between their ears knows you do NOT turn the wheels (steering) when you are stuck in the snow. Especially if they are the drive wheels!

I just watched this idiot get stuck and stay stuck for 1/2 an hour on the corner outside my house. She was driving a front wheel driven car, and couldn't understand why she could not get unstuck. (She had the steering wheel all the way right and was moving into the snow bank from which she was trying to extricate herself.)

I was awakened yesterday morning by loud voices and what sounded like arguing outside. I peeked out the window to see this same driver, being assisted by another neighbor. I wondered what they were arguing about. . .

I went outside just a few minutes ago and told her to put it into reverse and straighten the wheel. Voila, she backed away from the snow bank. I didn't even have to push.

When I returned to my computer I had an e-mail from the guy who woke me up yelling at her yesterday morning. He said she did the SAME thing in front of her own house yesterday morning and he couldn't get her to straighten the wheels out!

This may seem out of the blue, but hopefully the point is understandable.

What do anyone think would happen to people such as that if the RW 'servs (read - reactionaries) who continually advocate the extreme 'suffering the consequences' (which is nothing more than 'nature red in tooth and claw') had their way?

Do the RW'ers ever consider they might fall victim to their own ideology?  Do they think we, as a specie, managed to survive by being lone wolves?

Apply that to any 'socialist' program for the welfare of our citizens - health care for instance.

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

In other words: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  ;)

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair

"Hitler is gone, but if the majority of our fellow citizens are more susceptible to the slogans of fear and race hatred than to those of peaceful accommodation and mutual respect among human beings, our political liberties remain at the mercy of any eloquent and unscrupulous demagogue." -- S. I. Hayakawa

Sorry, but could you expound on that.  It isn't quite clear.  However, those stuck in lower stages of moral development think anything that doesn't just benefit them is socialism.  (again, I reference Kohlberg).

What I love are those people, and men do it too, who think if they spin their tires fast enough it'll get them out.....Somehow they never figured out all they did was burn rubber, melt the snow, and end up with a sheet of ice under their tires....LOL
