We've had a cable system in Dana since 1984.  At first it was pretty cool having choices on TV.  Then it was sold and the new company got rid of the daily local support, and went to a once a week out of town support.  Unfortunately for the cable company, that was about the time these small, inexpensive sattellite dishes came into being.  Soon, service became non existant, and the channels started dropping like flies.  At the same time, small dishes started covering the town.  Were the two related?? :wink:

Last I knew. the cable equipment was still there, abandoned by the last owner.

So Comcrap's service has sucked major ass for the past week.  Slowdown, slowdown, slowdown, modem reboots.  Fine for five minutes, then a repeat.  It's been doing this for well over a damn week now.

So last night, I get fed up an call them.  The technician is supposed to be here between 4 and 7 PM this evening.   Guess what I'm currently having no issues with!

Well they just left and and I'm plus one new modem.  Let's see if that fixes the problems.

I bought my own when the one they gave me got fried by lightening 3 years ago. (Motorola Surfboard).

I end up having to reset my network about once or twice a month now, down from as many times a week initially. . .
