I realize a lot of people like that type of show, and to each their own. But I can't stand to see people get hurt like that. I suppose that makes me a softy but, I gotta be me.  :yes: I have to admit.... I don't really care for the majority of the reality shows. Seeing obese people bein' humiliated, people eatin' animal intestines, and some of the other crazy crap DOES NOT appeal to me at all.  :no: Although, I am a big fan of real law enforcement shows like... Cops, Real Stories of the Highway Patrol, the First 48, and all those shows. Anything with Forensics.... I'm there.  :thumbsup: Mostly I watch Biography Channel, A & E, ID, and History Channel. Those shows are more appealing to me for some reason.

we just recently went with a satellite company...got rid of our local cable company.....I discovered the ID channel and I just love it.  I also like TruTV...I love Forensic Files.  I also love House Hunters on HGTV.

but I will say...I do watch American Idol.  I love Survivor and The Amazing race.....but that's as far as my reality tv goes.  Give me a good CSI show, Law and Order SUV, Without a Trace, and some football.....

Smokey we could watch tv together anytime!!  I wish we paid for our stations a la carte.  I think there are only about 10 stations I watch.

We watched a couple of years ago when Taylor Hicks won.  A local girl was on the show, and we started watching it to see here get axed by Simon.  Like him or not, he told the girl the plain thruth that she needed to hear.  Later Taylor grabbed our attention and we ended up watching for the duration.  Have not watched it since.

When the folks across the street had teenage girls, we would set on the porch and watch Wild Kingdom.  I could almost here Marlin Perkins say, "The male is now approaching the female with all of his plumage displayed.  Oh wait, there is another male, and yes it is going to challenge the first one.  Oh look at the wrestling invloved.  Will the winner impress the female, or will she take pity on the looser?  We'll find out right after a word from our sponsor, Mutual fo Omaha."

This went on for most of the summer, and it was like watching a documentary on animal mating habits.  We are not all that far removed from other species.
