I don't want to spread that conversation in with this one, but I addressed that on the other thread.  Just look at the resumes of some of those people there at the signing ceremony.  It's quite clear, by their very presence there, what that legislation is all about.

It is about religious liberties.....that is no secret.

How many millions and please explain how you know what percentage of them were people of faith?

This is absolute bullshit!

WOW!!  No need to continue this, because there is no reason too.  You are never going to understand this.  It isn't rocket science, just common sense.

Liberty to discriminate against others.  Checked those resumes yet?

So what you mean is that you're pulling "statistics" out of your ass.  That was obvious when you said, "millions and millions," since only about 1.3 million have died in all of the wars we've been involved in since the Revolutionary War, more than half of those in the civil war when we were fighting against ourselves!
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

Sidetracking from the issue....your normal tactic.  1.3 million would be MILLIONS!  wouldn't it?  Throw in the other millions of Christians who have perished doing missionary work and giving millions of dollars to feed the poor and hungry.

FACT is, I am right on this.  You can demonize Christians all you want, but there are MILLIONS who have selfless done good, that made this Country the great Country is once was....ALL BECAUSE of FAITH in God.

The only ones I'm lumping together are the ones that believe in the Sky Daddy.  Like I said above, I don't give a crap which book club to which they belong.  Christians, Muslims, Hindus; all of them.

Religion is vile and it needs to go if we are to survive.
No, the bad ones in each group, inclucing athiests and agnostics, are the ones that need gone.

I don't see too many atheists and agnostics going around bombing and shooting people.  Nor do I see them trying to legislate their morality onto others.  It's the Christians, the Muslims, and the Sky Daddy followers doing that.

Do you see something I don't?

How do you know? They just happen to mention it if the person is of a particular religion. I was raised a Protestant but am actually an agnostic so Protestant is what I would be tagged with and that would be wrong.

No, it would be million.  You said millions and millions...I would understand that to be at least 4 million since one is a million and two or more are millions.

QuoteThrow in the other millions of Christians who have perished doing missionary work and giving millions of dollars to feed the poor and hungry.

Again, you have nothing with which to substantiate this and they weren't protecting my freedom.

Doubtful.  I was raised as a Catholic and no one would tag me with that label now (even if I do still have mad genuflecting skills!  ).

An Agnostic is just another word for Atheist.   An Agnostic is just afraid to say the word Atheist.     Henry's god knows you're lying.

Nope. It is a basic mistake commonly made to ascribe interchangeability to the two terms, however call a true Atheist an Agnostic, and you might as well call them a bible thumper. . .  :icon_twisted:

Agnostic : Means the individual holds a belief in a creator or higher authority within the universe, but not of the type of humankind's construction.

Atheist : Means one who holds zero belief in any creator, God, higher authority, or entity; human kind or of any other origin.

From a Christian perspective all Native Americans were  truly "Agnostic" in that they did not believe in a single God, and at minimum did not believe in a way that comfortably nested with mainstream Christian beliefs. Most, if not all, believed in a higher-authority or authorities, of some type, however since it did not conform to common Christian dogma they were adjudicated "savages" and slaughtered into conformance.

My personal belief system, for the record, places me into the Agnostic category. I shun humankind's manufactured religiosity with extreme prejudice.

I doubt it as well.

I was raised a strict, fire and brimstone Southern Baptist, and baptized as such.

I converted to Catholicism as an adult, and was trained in the religion by the Chicago Archdiocese, and re-baptized as such.

I studied the Greek Orthodox Jewish religion and after a three year period considered converting to that religion.

I studied and obtained one of my degrees from a Christian University that required extensive Theological coursework as part of their degree program. (And graduated Cum Laude from that institution).

And yet, I remain agnostic despite it all.  :icon_twisted:

But you would not be tagged as agnostic if you were to commit a serious and news worthy crime because of your extensive background with religion.

No. . . I'd be tagged as a murderer, thief, serial killer, etc. . .
