Well, you spew your intolerance here daily along with your lying and judgmental comments, all of which are in stark contrast to what your imaginary Jesus was supposed to have preached.

There is another lie, do you have any examples, where I daily spew ANY intolerance on anyone?

"The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left."
Ecclesiastes 10:2 - It all makes sense to me now...

Your judgmental attitude toward anyone different from you is pervasive.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

That the vast majority of our service members ARE INDEED Christian.

Your comment "I would suggest that we have a planet in the toilet because the majority of its inhabitants believe in stupid shit like their versions of the Sky Daddy."

I suggest that the majority of this planets inhabitants you are talking about, are the very ones that have died saving your ass the right to say whatever stupid thing you want to say....and it was that "Sky Daddy" that allowed them to accomplish such a feat with faith.

It is germane to this discussion, but the bottom line is, it really doesn't mean squat, because you have your strong opinion, and I have mine.

Doesn't make any difference what their beliefs are HH.  I don't give a fuck whether they're Christian, Hindu, Muslim, or whatever.  The fact that you're talking about service members is irrelevant to this discussion.

My position is backed up with facts.  The ideas of jealous gods and their chosen people have justified all KINDS atrocities from the ancient Aztecs right up until now with the similarly antiquated mindset of the American religious right.

1. Slavery
2. The Crusades
3. The Spanish Inquisition
4. The Holocaust

All the classics, are they not?  Religion, and beliefs in a Sky Daddy, have been there every bloody step of the way.

We, as humans, would be far better off casting this kind of shit onto the ash heap of history where it rightly belongs.

That is just YOUR opinion.  I have a FACT for you though,  MILLIONS and MILLIONS of wonderful, intelligent, kind, generous people will disagree with YOUR OPINION.  That is all you have Locutus, an opinion. NOT a FACT.

Not facts?????  These aren't facts??  This is history Hank.  It's not an opinion:

Hell, if you don't like history, just look at the Middle East today.  Religion and the "my god is better than your god" crap is still the root cause of what's going on there today.  It's also the root cause of the legislation that we're talking about on the other thread. Whether you see it or not, religion breeds intolerance all the way around.

What we really need is a hell of a lot more anti-preachers, anti-faith based initiatives, anti-Mohammeds and anti-christs.  We can no longer just stand around and let retarded children pummel themselves, and others, with stones and missiles.

Like it or not, the belief in a Sky Daddy is the vilest meme adults continue to pass on to their children.

BTW, every time you go pointing to "MILLIONS AND MILLIONS" of people to somehow validate your claims and lend credibility to your belief system, I'll remind you, as Y did just last week, that you're simply repeating an Appeal to Popularity fallacy.  Just because millions of people believe something doesn't make it true.   I would have thought you would have at least learned that by now.

Since he can't seem to grasp that simple concept and insists on clinging to the idea that something is true simply by the number of people who believe it, I wonder if he's prepared to accept that Christianity can't be true because more than twice as many people in the world don't believe in it as those who do?

I'm not saying that those events didn't happen.  I'm saying that the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of excellent people of faith have fought and died in battles to assure our freedoms.

I can't help there are some bad Christians out there, but the vast majority of them have done good....for all of mankind, in the name of God.

Kinda' like the ones applauding that discriminatory bill that was just passed in Indiana?  Those kind of good ole' Christians?

Of course not!  But that is an excellent point.

I don't want to spread that conversation in with this one, but I addressed that on the other thread.  Just look at the resumes of some of those people there at the signing ceremony.  It's quite clear, by their very presence there, what that legislation is all about.

How many millions and please explain how you know what percentage of them were people of faith?

Ya'll are totally laughable. Lumping an entire group together, judging all by the acts of a few, and being hateful while doing it then turning around and accusing them of being the hateful ones. Typical liberal.

The only ones I'm lumping together are the ones that believe in the Sky Daddy.  Like I said above, I don't give a crap which book club to which they belong.  Christians, Muslims, Hindus; all of them.

Religion is vile and it needs to go if we are to survive.
