Faith = Belief in possibilities.

My mistake, I was not trying to reference the bible....can't say as I've ever read it all the way through.

Believing the world was round rather than flat was a leap of faith...at that time. 

Just because something is not proven with "scienctific fact" does not mean it is not true or does not exist.
