Ok, I'll go again:

ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia (AP) _ A Romanian immigrant has given birth to her 18th child in British Columbia, making her the province's most prolific mother in 20 years.

Proud dad Alexandru Ionce said Saturday that his 44-year-old wife, Livia, gave birth on July 22. Their daughter Abigail weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces (3.5 kilograms).

"We never planned how many children to have. We just let God guide our lives, you know, because we strongly believe life comes from God and that's the reason we did not stop the life," Alexandru Ionce said.

The couple immigrated to Canada from Romania in 1990 and now live in Abbotsford. Their 17 other children range in age from 20 months to 23 years.

Ionce said he did not know if the couple would have more children. The family now has 10 girls and eight boys.

"We would have liked a boy to be even," he said. "We thank God all of them are healthy and happy."

You can't be serious Henry.  We need more Gawd Freaks like these two who clearly aren't responsible?  If they're responsible, why not use some sort of birth control.  18 fuggin' kids.  There's absolutely nothing responsible about that at all.

No I'm not kidding you at all HH.  There are entirely TOO many people on this planet as it is right now.  Think of how much of our planet's resources these two irresponsible adults will be responsible for consuming via their offspring.  Yes, I'm saying that 18 kids is far too many for a couple to have.  Almost every time you run across this kind of shit, it's a religious whack-job that won't put on a damn condom before he bops his wife.  Having 18 kids is irresponsible, pure, flat out, and simple.

That's NOT what I said at all Henry.  I dislike their actions based on their belief in Gawd.  It's irresponsible.  And you're reading far more into my argument than what's there.  You'd be hard pressed to find anywhere where I've defended anyone who has a child without the intention of rearing it.  You won't find it because there isn't a post anywhere where I've defended such.  I hold those people in disdain as well.

But my claim is a valid one.  Here's another instance just recently where ole' Gawd is guiding his followers to have all the damn kids they want.

Mom pregnant with 18th child
Michelle Duggar gives her kids a Mother's Day surprise: 'We're expecting!'

The Duggar kids planned a big Mother's Day surprise for their mom this year. But the surprise was on them when Michelle Duggar announced on the TODAY Show that they were soon to welcome an 18th sibling.

"We're expecting!" the happy mother told TODAY co-host Meredith Vieira and the entire Arkansas clan. "Number 18!

"They didn't know. My girls watch the calendar like a hawk. We just found out on Monday night."

"On Monday night she brought one of the [pregnancy] testers in," Michelle's husband Jim Bob added. "I wanted to bring it with me, but she wouldn't let me."

And baby, due around New Year's Day, would make 20.

Joshua, the Duggars' eldest son, said the news, two days before Mother's Day was "a shock" — if only to a point.

"I wasn't expecting that," the 20-year-old said. "But it's been nine months [since the birth of the last baby], so yeah."

Family forest
To date, the Duggars' 17 natural children range in age from 20 years to 9 months. Included in the mix are 10 boys and seven girls — Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah and baby Jennifer, who arrived last Aug. 2.

With two sets of twins, Michelle, 41, has gone through 15 pregnancies that ended in 13 natural deliveries and two Caesarean sections.

Both Michelle and Jim Bob — a former state legislator who served in the Arkansas House of Representatives — are real estate agents. They claim their family is debt-free, with the entire bunch helping to build their 7,000-square-foot home in Tontitown. And they are enriched by a devout faith in their religion.

The Duggars are followers of the evangelical Christian movement called Quiverful, which teaches that children are God's blessing and that husbands and wives should happily welcome every child they are given. In fact, the Duggars' Web site, duggarfamily.com, quotes "Children are a heritage of the Lord" from verse 3 of the 123rd Psalm.

"We just let the Lord decide," Jim Bob, 42, told Vieira.

"They are such a gift and we're enjoying them so much," Michelle added. "We would love more, and the power of the Lord took our faith to give us another one."

The Duggars married in 1984, when Michelle was 17 and Jim Bob was 19. They held off on having kids for four years before Michelle ceased taking birth control pills to have their first child. After Joshua was born in 1988, Michelle returned to birth control but wound up getting pregnant anyway. Unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage, which the couple attributed to use of the pill.

Michelle and Jim Bob decided to pray for as many children as God would give them. Within a year, Michelle was pregnant with the first of their two sets of twins.

Their large number of offspring has meant other large numbers for the Duggars. Michelle has been pregnant for 135 months of her life, with an average of 18 months between births. The family estimates it has used 90,000 diapers and launders 200 loads of clothes each month in a row of industrial-size washers and dryers.

Even though they go through three loaves of bread per day, they claim to feed their family for less than $2,000 a month. Transportation is facilitated by nine vehicles, led by a 21-passenger bus. They estimate that all members of the family have combined to work approximately 39,000 hours on their home.

Each child learns to play both violin and piano. And for what it's worth, when child No. 18 arrives, they'll have enough kids to field two baseball teams.

Most importantly, there is a unique dedication to serve the greater good of the home and family. An older child will take on the responsibility of a younger sibling throughout the day. The children help prepare meals and keep to a steady home-schooling schedule. Group studies include materials from Advanced Training Institute International, a Bible-based education program for families.

The Duggars' daily adventures are currently being chronicled in a television series on the Discovery Health channel. They previously participated in another Discovery Health series, "On the Road with 16 Kids."

A happy Mother's Day
To celebrate the latest addition to the Duggar clan, the TODAY Show planned their own surprise for Michelle by sending her children out to either shop or make new gifts for their busy mother.

The main gifts, picked by all the kids, included a ring Michelle saw and liked in a used jewelry store two weeks ago, as well as a pearl necklace and matching earrings. The older girls, Jana, Jill, Jessa and Jinger, picked out an outfit for their mom designed for "in-between" stages of pregnancy.

And, for a fitting gift that keeps on giving, all of the kids went in on a coffeemaker. "She always has to make so much, so we got a big one for her," Jessa said.

The final present was a large, cardboard card with each of the children's handprints posted in paint, along with a loving message.

"They thought they'd give their a mom surprise," Jim Bob said. "But she gave them a surprise."

It seems to me you want laws in place to keep people from practicing their religion...i'm I right?...who gives a flip about the Duggars?...They seem to be a fantastic family....they are doing on their own...they praise God for everything they have....the are not asking for government help....they are being extremely responsible...those kids are being very well educated and are being loved....in my opinon we need MORE religious whack jobs like the duggars...........this would be a much better world if people would take the attitude that they do......they are feeding, teaching, loving, clothing their own kids.....

don't even try to compare these guys to the fucking lunitics that killed Americans on Sept 11, 2001....

I don't think I am at all reading more into your arguement.........you are a raciest against Christians....plain and fucking simple......

excuse my language today....but this is the first time I have EVER felt the need to express myself as clear as I am right now....

you are a BIGOT!....no different than the boys wearing white hoods................you don't like a group of people because you don't agree with the way the think.....

i'm sick to death of the anti-Christian people ..... acting as if they have the fucking answers to the worlds problems.....you attack Christians for the very thing you are doing.........................TAKE A LONG FUCKING LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where's the need to serve God when it comes to children like this:

http://theunknownzone.us/smf/index.php?topic=8835.0

It seems to me that if they were honestly trying to please God that they would let go of the ego trip of trying to single handedly populate the already overcrowded earth and take care of the need that already exists.

Okay, explain yourself a little better before I jump the gun.....how does a family who decided to have 18 kids, and they are taking care of them...independently.....how does it become thier problem to solve other peoples mistakes?.....

because they believe in God?.....they should not have ANY kids right?............and take care of the homeless kids?...........is THAT what you are trying to say?....

No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying there is a need which is being ignored. I personally think that anyone that has 18 children, regardless of their rational, is irresponsible. It just so happens in this case that they cite god.

There are plenty of children that are already born that could use a family. If it were less about ego and circulating their specific DNA and more about god then wouldn't it make sense that they would be adopting unwanted children? Wouldn't that be the right thing to do? They could have adopted 9 and still had 9 biological children. Which, IMO is still too many.

The Earth is already crowded. There's an existing need. It's as simple as that.

Christians want to be placed on a pedestal of being cast in the image of god...loving, compassionate, blah blah blah, but when the rubber meets the road like in this case they're full of excuses as to why it's not their responsiblity and it becomes glaringly obvious that they're serving themselves rather that the god they claim to serve.

Do you really think that because the duggars had 18 kids the World is now overcrowded?......

Why don't liberals bitch about the people out there who HAVE NO business having kids.........the one's that don't have a job...the ones that did not graduate high school....the ones that are having sex with several partners........................gimma break guys.

You toss around words apparently w/out knowing their meaning. I'm not a bigot and I'm not a hypocrite. Where have you ever seen me say that people who can't afford to or don't have the fortitutde to take care of their offspring should have children. Where, Henry?

I'm pro sex education/birth control/choice, remember? I think that the number of unwanted pregnancies should be minimized prior to conception.

What does that have anything to do with the fact that there's already thousands of unwanted children..who have been born? Who's taking care of them?

Not the people who'd rather add to the population instead of doing the responsible thing and taking care of the present need.

Where have you been, Henry. The Earth is overpopulated and getting more so every day. That's a fact. While this family didn't do it singlehandedly, they didn't help the problem either, did they?

It's all about ego and nothing to do with god or god's work. Actions, Henry, actions.
