Actually I'd have to disagree with you on this one.  I think he's the one who sucks for trying to blame it on god.

I'm not isolating it to this one particular incident.  It's all Gawd's childrens doin' the best they know how.  He's just one of the extreme ones.  The rest are fightin' against HPV vaccinations for teen girls, fightin' for the teaching of intelligunt dezine sayin' they didn't come from no monkey, fightin' against women's rights to their own body.  Every single one of them is acting out of a ridiculous belief in a supernatural Gawd, and doing what they think he wants them to do.

Very sad, and very scary.

Are you talking about those vaccines that are supposed to prevent certain cancers in women who are sexually active or something like that?  Don't remember the details at the moment.

I think somehow I would have to object to those shots too.  They keep coming up with this stuff and have no clue what it might do down the road.  It has nothing to do with god but more to do with not being sure of the safety of the shot itself.

Then that's different, but the majority of the arguments against this vaccine come from the crowd mentioned above.  As to the safety, it seems safe enough for me according to the CDC site:

The FDA has licensed the HPV vaccine as safe and effective. This vaccine has been tested in over 11,000 females (ages 9-26 years) around the world. These studies have shown no serious side effects. The most common side effect is soreness at the injection site. CDC, working with the FDA, will continue to monitor the safety of the vaccine after it is in general use.

That's not too bad considering that it will stave off a virus that can cause cervical cancer.

Look at the other drugs the FDA has approved though.  IMHO their record isn't real good lately.

Believe me, I have plenty of problems with the FDA as well, especially since that falls under the executive office of the POTUS and as such, has been driven to politically motivated conclusions even when science suggests otherwise.

So I guess the FDA, and Gawd and his chillin's all suck.  ;D

So, as usual, you have nothing to offer.  Why not tell us why we are ignorant?  Just saying it doesn't mean much.  Surely we can benefit from you wisdom and maybe see the light.

I offer an observation.  I observe that you think religiously (Phelps, so called Christian) motivated protests against homosexuals are equal to   thousands of Islamic radicals murdering thousands of innocents or even killing those same homosexuals.  Your opinions are as faith based as Phelps'.   Just like Phelps, you are too in love with your own ideas to learn much.

I'm just making the observation, not trying to change your mind.  In your faith based case, there is not enough evidence to do that.

First, there are not thousands of islamic radicals murdering  thousands of innocents.  19 dumbasses who believed god chose them killed thousands at theWTC/Pentagon, but that is different than your inference and all the more reason to despise religion.  So, what would your point be?

Phelp's brand of terrorism (protesting at dead soldier's funerals) is no different than the islamic "terrorist's" and he claims jesus is on his side.  A religious nut.  So, what evidence are you offering for our ignorance of really, really stupid religious nuts?

Remember the bombings of the Spanish trains?  The London underground?  The nightclub in Indonesia?  Al Qaeda in Iraq (now much weakened)?  The persistent bombings in Malaysia, Thailand, Algeria?  On and on?  Remember the thousands killed?  No?

To not know is ignorance.  If you do know but think Phelps is the same, I don't know what that is but it looks like a persistent irrational belief to me.  Something you'd call "faith".    But you just keep on.  I'm not trying to change your mind.  We just disagree.  I think murdering innocents is worse than bad manners but that's just me.

Well, based on your logic, the death toll of innocents in iraq has a far higher body count for the "christian" side with over 100,000 iraqi civilians killed by the "christian" american bombings.  Again, what is your point?

Terrorism is terroism is terrorism.  You don't need a body count to be a terrorist....

Where in the world did you come up with your figures anyway?

There are other estimates, but this one is from "close in":

Concerning war-related deaths (civilian and non-civilian), and deaths from criminal gangs, Iraq's Health Minister Ali al-Shemari said that since the March 2003 invasion between 100,000-150,000 Iraqis had been killed.[13] "Al-Shemari said on Thursday [Nov. 9, 2006] that he based his figure on an estimate of 100 bodies per day brought to morgues and hospitals – though such a calculation would come out closer to 130,000 in total."

Which means your figures are misleading since they include figures which have nothing to do with the war and includes both civilian and non-civilian.  And is sounds like it also includes non innocents.  I do believe you should check elsewhere and compare.
