You must know him intimately to know this Locutus.

I judge him by his deeds, or at least those that some attribute to him.

He sucks in that some people seem all to willing to believe in a mystical being and all the more willing to act on his behalf based on what they perceive him to be telling them.  Those are the worst of them who carry out mass murder and other atrocities.

The others are the ones who choose to believe in him and his goodness when there are countless examples that he (if he does exist) doesn't give a damn about them and their daily lives. All it takes is one look at facts, evidence and science, and any notion of a personal god who takes interest in the personal lives of the common folk should be tossed right out the window.

If (and it's a big if) the human species survives long enough to see the notion of a deity cast upon the trash pile of history like so many other silly things have been, I posit that we as a species, as well as our planet, will be far and away better off.

Amen.... ;D

I find it very frustrating that the illusion that IS religion will be the end of us all.

I'll leave it to Dan to answer you, but to me that looks like an airplane tail number.

But as we all know, I have a penchant for aviation.  ;D

Ahhh see that was kind of the angle I was thinking, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work.

At least Hank got it right this time.  God can't suck as "he" or it doesn't exist.  The concept sure does and leaves those of us godless types wondering how anyone in their right mind can believe such crap.

I even think the concept of human sacrifice in killing jesus is a subtle warning from the church that invented it that; "see, if he can kill his only son like this (see Mel Gibson's movie for the details), then you low-life rabble don't stand a chance when he brings on "his" fire and brimstone".  Perfect creator my ass.
