Aren't conservatives "anti entitlement/social programs? Makes you wonder why he applied if he doesn't need it. And if Joe Schmoe were living on SS and he got a job, wouldn't his benefits be reduced? And doesn't her income/worth count as his, since they are married?

After about age 70 you can make any amount of money without a reduction in SS.  McCain is  not  very conservative.  Maybe spouse's income does not matter.

The Social Security Administration website makes no mention of that.

I believe its after the age of 72 that you can earn any amount and, no, a spouse's income does not matter or figure into it in any way.

I'm sorry I misread my papers I just received from SS about that and it says after full retirement age your benefits will not be reduced not matter how much is earned.

new rant:

picosecond - A picosecond is one millionth of one millionth of a second (0.000 000 000 001 seconds). See also times of other orders of magnitude.

1 picosecond – half-life of a bottom quark
1.66 picoseconds – switching time of the world's fastest transistor (604 GHz, as of 2005)
3.3 picoseconds (approximately) – time taken for light to move 1 millimeter

1 picosecond also seems to be the ammount of time between opening the door, and your five-year-old sitting in front of the television watching "go diego go".

cartoons were special when i was five.  they weren't on 24 hours, i had to wait until saturday.

My favorites are finest ones by Max Fleischer.  I find his best work far better than Disney's.

Lantz's and Harveytoons' characters were good with Harveytoons' artwork being better, but Hanna-Barbera brought about the real decline in the art of cartoons.

There have been few bright spots since.
