Mine's diesel. 3/4 ton Chevy 2500 HD. An imposing presence on the road. My wife finally drove it a few times to work over the last week or so. She loves the hight, etc. She said, I love driving that truck. . . Until she had to fill it up!

ok, so i'm watching this episode of "flip that house" where a guy is doing a total renovation of a 100 year old house in los angeles.  (i'm kind of a fan of the old construction)  when he gets the inspector there, the inspector tells him "this house has a brick foundation, so it won't pass" and that there is "about a 90% chance this house will fall in on itself".

REALLY?!?!?

you're gonna stand there and say on national television that this house - which has stood for a hundred years in earthquake central - has a 90% chance of falling in on itself because it's built on brick?

I watched that one too.  My questions is how was putting up ply wood to cover the brinks going to save the house?  It looked pretty bogus to me!

As a rider I take that campaign seriously. It never ceases to amaze me how people fail to see a brightly lit and loud motorcycle on a bright sunny day, and pull right out in front of you as if you aren't there. Even when you are observing the speed limit and all other traffic laws.

Why would a motorcycle require rollover protection when it is not designed to be rolled over?

As for the dodging and weaving, and general breaking of every traffic law on the books; I've seen those riders myself, and I too curse them. But they are no more prolific than the bad driving 4 wheelers and 18 wheelers out there. The only difference is when they make a mistake in judgment they'll pay a very heavy price for it. . . But then, that's what they get for driving like an asshole.

Now you know darned good and well if you drive a big assed truck, then the green people will publicly humiliate you over the fact that vehicle is not environmentally friendly. (I hate scraping those things off my friggin grill!) 

I understand that. I am not a rider and never will be, because as a trauma nurse I have seen way to much. But, you can bet your life and I mean that... that I go out of my way to give these bikes all the room they want. I would never forgive myself ( even if it was there fault) if I hurt or killed anyone on a bike.  Any one on a bike is as safe with me driving my car as a babe in mamma's arms.

LOL, well I already know I'm not voting for him. If I had no specific reason for not voting before, I have one now.  I truly don't think that a woman should be in the white house yet.  And now especially not this one.  Before I was worried about one that suffers PMS, now I'm worried about one that is still in the time frame to suffer post partum depression.  Woman hormones can be KILLERS.
