The crowd actually attending the inauguration was much smaller than Obama's as is proven by photographic evidence, Nielsen said that Trump's inauguration was watched by 30.6 million viewers across 12 networks whereas Obama's was watched by 37.8 million and while it's impossible to accurately determine how many people live-streamed either event, we do know that 16.9 million viewers watched Trump on CNN and 25 million who watched Obama.

It's disingenuous to say that Trump's original attack on CNN wasn't directly related to the crowd actually attending the inauguration when he accused them of being fake news but none of the other numbers support that bullshit either.

He states that the agitators were part of an anarchist group known as the "Black Bloc" that has been causing problems in and around that area for years.
