How about you list the things that Trump promised to do while he was campaigning and tell us which of those things hasn't significantly changed since he's been in office?

Where's your list?  You claim he's already made the country better...how?  Was appointing the same people to his cabinet who he railed against while he was campaigning draining the swamp?  Where's the wall Mexico is going to pay for?  Where's the replacement for Obamacare...conservatives have had 7 years to work on this...why don't they have anything?  How about his pledge not to take vacations and then spending $3 million last week to go to Mar-A-Lago?  What about the $400,000.00 a day taxpayers are paying to protect Trump Tower (a private building)?  Where are the tariffs on China and Mexico (that will ultimately cost hundreds of thousands of American workers their jobs)?  Where are all of these manufacturing jobs (87% of which were lost to automation)?

He's done nothing but run his jib and alienate us from our long-term allies.  Maybe your fantasies about rolling around under the sheets with him have blinded you to these obvious facts.  Maybe you're just using alternate facts.

Consumer confidence is at a 12-year high........because of Trump optimism.
The Keystone Pipeline is going, despite your arguments, WILL stimulate our economy.

A stimulated economy will fix many of the other issues we face....like the Healthcare.  A strong economy allows business to carry a good HC package to its employees....

Let me remind YOU, it has ONLY been two weeks.

Make sure and let us know when that translates into real dollars.

Stimulate our economy how?  Sure, it'll create some short term jobs but then?  And do you really think American pipe will be used?  Do you not think they already have much of the materials they need?  Then, of course, there's the issue of contaminating a huge aquifer when it eventually leaks but I guess for people whose kids already look like they have birth defects that sort of thing doesn't matter much.

Maybe it's I who should be reminding you it's only been two weeks.

Hank, in all seriousness, if you think Trump is "draining the swamp," then you're clearly delusional.

You've been lied to and you bought the whole package.  Hook, line, and sinker.

Time will tell.
Listen, you KNEW for damn sure, that Trump was NOT going to win.........it might be a reality check, that YOU aren't always right.  Trump has/is proving to do things people said could NOT be done.
Time will tell....

But, I have NO regrets...........the democrats put Hillary in as the alternative and apparently, that was enough for Trump to win.  Give him four years and boot him out if he isn't "making america great again".

Hank, we're in interesting times when Bill Kristol is a routine contributor to CNN.

Betsy DeVos' brother is the founder of the since renamed and rebranded Blackwater, and there are the numerous other cabinet appointments of Wall Street people to cabinet positions, etc.

Do you seriously think he's cleaning the swamp?

It's okay if you say I don't think he is, or you don't care if he is, but at least be honest.  After all, he's not being honest with any of us who didn't vote for him, or with any of you who did.

Just don't forget, Hank, that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by a huge margin. Trump is POTUS because of the Electoral College, and therein lies the Democratic solace. Trump KNOWS the truth, that he's in over his head, and that's why he can't stop tweeting.

The Atlanta Hawk was the most popular team........the vast majority of Americans wanted Atlanta to beat the Patriots..........they LOST.  That is the rules of the game.  The team with the most POINTS wins. Trump WON by the rules of the game and got the most points.

The electoral college did EXACTLY what our forefathers created it to do.........because we are the United STATES of America.....we are NOT  Amerika! or the United States of California... you take away CA and trump wins pop vote by 1.4.  Our Forefathers had the hindsight to foresee this.  I don't think you would want JUST Texas deciding who our POTUS will be, nor New York.........we have 50 states, all must have a voice.

nuff said on that.

Not for a second, do I believe Trump is in "over his head".  I think he is doing EXACTLY what he planned on doing....he is changing on HOW things TYPICALLY have been done.  I think it is refreshing and exciting to see this approach.

Again, we would probably not even have this discussion had the democrat party put anyone in there besides Hillary Clinton...........

This is complete and utter bullshit.  Much in the same way you erroneously claim that the country was founded on Christian principles, your understanding of why the electoral college was originally founded is similarly flawed.

The electoral college was created during a time in which there were no telephones, radios, television, internet and newspapers were printed on wooden printing presses.  The telegraph didn't even exist at the time.  Given this lack of ability to disseminate information, our forefathers recognized that it would be impossible for voters all over the country to know anything about the people who were running for president.  To that end, they created the electoral college who would be elected by the voters in their districts and would then travel to Washington, learn about the candidates and vote for the candidate who they believed represented the best interests of their constituents back at home.

Given the speed with which information travels in modern society, there is no argument that can be made that anyone lacks access to enough information to make a decision on how to cast his/her vote.  The electoral college is therefore obsolete and should be abolished.

I often hear the argument that people in less populous states would lose their voice in the federal government were this to happen.  Let's examine this, shall we?  California is the country's most populous state and also the state with the largest number of electoral votes at 55 or roughly one vote for every 709, 862 people.  Montana is the country's least populous state with 3 electoral votes or roughly one vote for every 194,219 people.  What this means is that every persons vote in Montana is worth the same as 3.65 people's votes in California.  Do you honestly believe that the founders' intention was for some people's votes to be worth nearly 4 times that of others?  Do you consider that a fair and equitable system?  For the record, every vote in Montana is worth almost 3 times what ours in Indiana are as well.

Another consideration should be who is most directly affected by the issues that any given administration must deal with.  I would argue that many of these more directly affect densely populated urban areas far more than sparsely populated rural ones.  Lets use terrorism as an example.  Is it more likely that terrorist would fly an airliner into a skyscraper in New York City or into a general store in Podunk, Montana?  Despite the obviousness of the answer, every citizen in Montana still enjoys a far more valuable vote than the citizens of New York.  How does that make sense?

Another old, worn out argument, one made by Trump himself, is that if the election was decided on the popular vote alone, politicians would only campaign in the most populated areas, neglecting those that are not.  While this may be true, a simple analysis of the number of stops made in various places by the candidates in the most recent election reveals that they did this to a great extent anyway except they concentrated on key battleground states rather than those with the greatest number of people.  What's the difference?

I will conclude with this thought: if John Kerry had gotten a mere 66,000 more votes in Ohio in 2004, he would have won the election despite having had 3 million fewer votes than Bush.  Would you have been as gleeful about that outcome as you are about douchebag Donny?

Time has already told that he was lying about draining the swamp Hank.  His cabinet is full of Wall Street executives, Goldman Sachs officials, etc.  That's hardly draining the swamp by any stretch of the imagination.

But like Ex said, what time will tell is how the rural people who voted for him are going to be more negatively impacted by his policies than any of the blue state city residents who didn't.

They're the ones that already are facing doctor shortages which may be exacerbated by this travel and future anti-immigration policies.  They're the ones who will have substantial numbers of their neighbors lose their health care benefits.  They're the ones whose wages will continue to be suppressed as Trump builds his version of corporate America, and they're the ones whose children will receive substandard educations as this idiot Betsy DeVos implements her goal of privatizing education, and funneling public school monies to private and charter schools.

Yep; time will tell indeed.
