When I was a kid measles was just part of growing up and not considered dangerous unless let get out of hand by not treating it properly, aspirin, (that's all there was then for fever), bed rest, lotion for the itching, and sulfa drugs.  Now if let go to go in or get in your ears that was a different story.  There was also gamma globulin shots one could take to lessen the severity of both measles and chicken pox.  As a matter of fact when my kids got both I took the two who didn't have it yet for a shot and they both had a very light case, in fact they hardly broke out at all with either measles or chicken pox and barely any itching at all. As an adult both can be more dangerous though if you didn't get them as a child and are exposed so I agree with possibly taking the shot as an adult.

Thankfully he didn't have any complications. We drove straight through coming home, only eating from drive through restaurants.

Yep, I had to stay in a dark room but fortunately for my kids they discovered that wasn't necessary so they didn't have to endure that.  What ticked me off was I had them during spring break, it was nice out and I didn't feel bad.  I wanted out of that bed sooooo bad and mom had a heck of a time keeping me down.

First, IIRC, Mexico is close to the vaccination rate of the good ole' USA.

Just because it was traced back to Disneyland doesn't mean that's where it originated ya know. The person who spread it at Disneyland had to have been in contact with it somewhere else to have it in the first place so that would not be the point of origination and could likely have been spread though being somewhere an illegal had been. Statistically the odds of what you put forth are against it, and morally you are just trashing a race of people that differ from you. That you persist in such endeavors makes the application of Occam's Razor germane.

If things are so much better in their country why are they coming here? Also I ask again, what does the color of their skin have to do with anything? They are dark because of the pigment of their skin due to where they live and other than that they are the same as a white, black, or yellow person, we all bleed red ya know.

Interesting...here's what the CDC has to say about Measles: "Measles is still common in many parts of the world including some countries in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Africa."

Please note that Central America is not on that list.
