The Troll

What do you think would make it better? More money, less money, nicer buildings, more teachers, higher education standards for teachers (all have masters degrees), more rules, less rules? Seems like most things have been tried and nothing seems to be working.

One thing would help would be cut the number of single unmarried women and sperm donors who run away from supporting the children they bring in to this world.

With the divorce rate of 55% or more, there couldn't be a greater reason for having problem children in our school.

Accountability.
If you're referring to the teachers it wouldn't matter because the union wouldn't allow them to be fired.

With so many stupid people breeding, maybe it's the quality of the raw materials the teachers and schools are given.

Parents, teachers, students, school administrators, school boards?

All of the above; but lets start with teachers, school boards, and administrators.

It's a demonstrable fact that the public education system in Louisiana isn't the best, but do you really think that this is a good solution?  They're teaching the children lies.

How can any adult, who has a smidgen of marbles rolling around in their head, come to any conclusion remotely like one that would state that this is somehow a better education than what's offered publicly?

Teaching children this kind of crap enables future generations of idiots.  It makes me very fearful for the future.

We have already seen the results of such teaching and he is posting here among us now. RC ... didn't you take some classes at BJU?

I would add parents before the school boards simply because they are or should be the primary influence on their child.

In many cases they shouldn't be.

If they are held accountable, at least made to show up at a conference (and I if they don't show up after a few attempts then the police or cps should excort them to the conference) then at least the teacher/counselor has a first hand look at what is going on at home. Schools are not supposed to teach things like respect (for adults and self) and restraint. Parents need to teach their children those things. I could go on and on about the lack of parenting, but I won't. My husband says Dr. Spock was the worst thing for children since before child labor laws were passed, and in some ways I agree with him.
