I was on FB today and a friend posted a picture of Trump wading through water with two cats in his arms.  It was obviously photoshopped so I looked it up and turns out the picture was of a guy in the flood at Cedar Rapids, Iowa in June of 2008.  I commented on her picture, explaining where the photo was really from (and I was polite about it, too.  Working at the library, you learn how to handle sensitive subjects without being combative or offensive).  I got on tonight to see if anyone had commented back, and found out she deleted me as a friend and blocked me!    Guess she couldn't handle the truth and decided to shoot the messenger.  I really thought a good church going lady who professed the love of Christ would have been much kinder in the way she handled it.  What is with people in deleting someone who points out the truth?  My ex deleted my sister's comments (again written without offense) in a post he made.  Sorry Trump supporters on this site, but so far, it is only them that I have seen deleting people and comments when they don't agree with what they believe.  (Cue HH and Me telling me the opposite was seen by them, and only from the liberal side.   ) My liberal friends and a few of the Trump supporting friends will keep up comments they don't agree with and have a civil discussion.  I know of one of my liberal friends who did delete someone they didn't agree with, but that was because they were being quite combative and uncivilized, not just on their posts, but on others, too.  They got sick of it and deleted them, but did tell them that was going to happen so they had a chance to change their behavior.

It's the truth though and I have a friend, lib, who even blocked some of his family who disagreed with him. I just hide posts of people I don't agree with if they are being stupid and don't even bother to try to engage in a conversation with them about why their post may be wrong. I have hidden many posts lately making jokes about Eric Boling's son passing away, that's just wrong. The biggest part of the cruel jokes and comments come from the left though and I might just start copying and pasting to show you.

My take is, the one's that are combative and obnoxious, are those on the left....it is plain and simple.  Look at the protests and the Antifa crowd....look at the colleges.  They cannot stand TRUMP, so they act upon every false news story that comes out against Trump, without looking for any sort of truth.  I see this almost on a daily basis.

Also, I will not ever delete or remove a friend that disagrees with me.......most of my conservative friends are the same way.  I have always taken the high road even when the other side is obnoxious.  With an exception few occasions on here....but, even then, it was more for fun than anything else.

I spent about the last 15 minutes typing up a retort...........then it hit me!  I am wasting my time.  I know what I know..and you know what you know.


We are at a crossroads of this nation, where hate is becoming an acceptable emotion to the point it doesn't even seem to bother anyone any more.


I "hate" Political Correctness.  I "hate" laziness.  I "hate" people who refuse be accountable for their own actions.....Things I "hate" are few.


I hate the word hate actually......but if used sparingly, it holds a stronger meaning.


I don't HATE anyone with opposing views as long as they are reasonable and peaceful.


I'm again, wasting more time, to the point I don't even remember the point I was going for......... ......in a nutshell, I think if we ever are going to become less divided, we got to focus more on the positive and less on the negative.

And for everyone that you could post, I could counter it.  Trying to say the left is the biggest offender of making cruel jokes and comments is absurd.  Look at all the shit that was said about Obama by the right when he was in office. Presently, the right make smart ass comments about the left; I've seen it enough times.  I do have some friends on the right that are making jokes and comments about Trump. They're my smart friends on the right.

Tell that to my nephew when he was peacefully protesting against Trump when he visited PA and a Trump supporter came up and spit at the woman beside him.  That's not obnoxious?  That same Trump supporter tried to egg the protestors into a fight but was hauled away by the police.  Not combative?  Combative and obnoxious Trump supporters exist, and exist in larger quantities than what you want to believe.

I never said obnoxious trump supporters didn't exist.  I'm just saying that by far the trump haters are dominating ever since the election.  Groups such as Antifa and BLM has become aggressive and it seems liberals are quiet to condone it.

Where does it stop?  I don't think it was quite as bad back then, as it probably wasn't as bad, before Obama........What makes it worse, is how the MSM and Hollywood dominate the airwaves, and it is nothing bad bash, bash, bash...

Can you imagine the backlash if someone held a bloody head of Obama as Kathy Griffin did?  That is just one example out of hundreds that go on, but the hypocrisy seems to be at an all-time high.

It's just a matter of time before we see congress once again holding the least amongst us hostage to their political ideals; and this time it will once again be the victims of these hurricanes in the US and its possessions.

A billionaire giving a million dollars is akin to one of us giving 20 bucks. Professional Athletes are gathering more. But again, it is a personal decision as it should be. But our government is another matter entirely.

"By the people, for the people" used to mean just that. It would appear that the modern interpretation now contains fine print that defines "People" as those possessing revenue streams exceeding millions of dollars. . .

Central Indiana ATT/Uverse/ Direct TV customers are now approaching a month without being able to view the local NBC affiliate WTHR due to a contract dispute. This is an annual situation and each year customers of all parties are taken advantage of this way. In fact, everyone using cable/satellite services are subjected to this kind of abuse as well as seeing their monthly bills go up because of it.

We already pay far too much for these services, and then are forced to endure this annual cycle ; usually at the start of football season or some other sports season or event.

I'm over it. I cannot watch the Colts? Looks like they, along with the rest of the NFL are having a crappy season anyway. I can't watch your news programming? There are a hundred plus other channels with fictional entertainment on them too. Plus I have blue rays and DVD s that do the same thing.

Use an antenna they suggest. I have one for when the signal from my satellite gets interrupted by a bird farting, but I won't be using it to watch NBC . Not after enduring years of this annual hostage situation and pillaging of household budgets.

Since there is no truly trusted news source in existence these days, I may as well just watch movies. They're more entertaining anyway. . .

Jackholes like this are exactly why I refrain from attending events with large crowds. . . And why I have my head on a swivel during those rare instances when I do attend such events.

Of course "gun control" is the go to response when events like this happen, and cries for mental health resources go unheeded. . .
