Kohl's, too? I haven't heard about that one.  There are two Kmarts and one Sears closing around here.  The Sears never seemed busy, even after they put the Land's End collection in.  The Kmarts took a hit after Wal-Mart and Target came around, especially after Target.

Kohls just posted record year over year declines today, so while they have not yet announced store closures it is a safe bet they are in the works.

I suspect it has MORE to do with On-Line sales........Amazon, Ebay and the like had a phenomenal season.  People are buying from the comforts of home rather than fighting crowds.

  There has been more products that I can buy from Ebay are cheaper and with free shipping, than I can buy at a big box store.  Same product, but lower cost.  I would guess that the big box stores have to pay a lot of rent to show me 90% of the items I don't want or need.   :shrug:

  Yesterday I got up and went to the front door.  I stuck my head out and it was 2 degrees above  zero.  I looked out at the brass monkey I keep on the front porch and his bass balls had fell off.   :yes:  I sure would like to see it warm up.  About the monkey's balls, I will put them back on when it warms up.   :wink: :biggrin:

Swell. . . You jokers don't like snow and keep boo-hoo ing it up when I do my snow dance. . . So now we're going to get a three day ice storm that threatens to cut power and impose havoc upon a swath of the US from Texas to Ohio this weekend.  :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant:

Get your secondary heating devices in working order, fuel up the chain saws, and lay in supplies that do not require refrigeration. . . There's going to be neighborhood BBQ's springing up all along this storms path. . .

I despise ice storms! Power outages SUCK!


Last night the wind knocked out our power for 12 hours!


We were lucky it was not too cold out like it was....we got by this time.


Praying this system is not going to be as bad as they suggest it may be.
