I'm not holding my breath, but they did 103 games this year, so two more isn't asking for too much.  I have faith in them.

You know that Chicago was burn down once.     If the Cubs win, do you think they will burn it down again.  :haha: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :waaa: :waaa: :waaa: :waaa: :waaa:    Go Cubs.  :flag:

I'm not sure about the burning, but I sure would be worried if I were a goat in that town. :rotfl:

The White Sox won the series a few years ago, and the Blackhawks have won several Stanley Cups and no one burned the city down. In fact, they held some very well attended parades for each of those championship teams with not much more than a few drunk and disorderly arrests.

I'm sure that when the Cubs win in game seven the sun will rise on a city that knows how to celebrate a championship in style.

And sure enough this is exactly what happened. 5 million people turned out for the parade and rally and no burning of cars, no rioting, no looting. Just the largest gathering of human beings in this nation's history singing "Go Cubs, Go" and celebrating an achievement 108 years in the making.

And those 5 million people were just those in the city itself and at the event. I'll bet there were gatherings that would double or triple that number across the city and nation.

So today I decided it was time for a haircut and went to the barbershop. BIG mistake. All anyone wanted to talk about was the election. I kept my pie-hole shut, especially while the straight razor was on my neck. . .

Finally they asked me, "So what do you think about the election"?

It is what it is, I said.

Well, care to elaborate on that? I mean come on, do you think it is going to be better or worse?

It took all the internal will I had to utter these four words, and the only thing I said beyond that was "thank you" to the person that cut my hair and shaved me.

What were those four words?

This too shall pass. . .

A decade of hate, malice, and vitriol directed toward an office of this nation has now left it addicted to conflict and argument. It is clear that the level of acceptability toward violence has increased exponentially, and now we have a nation full of those that view conflict, argument, and violence as socially acceptable endeavors.

I see horrible things coming and there isn't a damned thing I can do about it except take the required measures to ensure the safety and well being of my family when the inevitable peak arrives.

It would be nice, if President Obama would at least, denounce this violence.  But....crickets from the White House

This was his goal in the first place, the violence, and if marshall law isn't declared I'll be very surprised. As I stated way back when, I hope HH and I aren't the ones saying "I told you so".

What useful purpose would that serve? His detractors would then issue hyper-critical commentary over it and the cycle would continue.

No, no, no!  Let Trump come out a apologize to the people for stealing the election.  Hillary now leads Trump over 400,000 votes in the popular vote and she still couldn't win with all the lies Trump said and the help Trump received from the FBI.

At least he could set a precedent.....because, if more violence continues, the National Guard needs to be sent in.  I think it would have a great purpose...to eliminate collateral damage that may occur.

I'm not sure what you mean by hyper critical commentary?

I'm not sure, but Trump won by the laws of the land........and by a LANDSLIDE Troll.  I hate to keep saying this (not really) You Lost; Get Over It!

You guys complained about us being bad losers, but WOW!....We never lowered ourselves to violence and riots....c'mon, Troll, grow up and accept it.

They are pissed because they really wanted to believe that America HATED TRUMP, but they don't.

It sure don't take long for the authoritarians to take over and use force and guns to get their way.  Just like Douglas MacArthur wanted to put up machine guns and shoot the bonus veterans of war I in Washington DC.
