Not going to happen....he is only getting stronger.

And before some of you begin bawling about being tired. . . here's why:

A common assertion in the US is that heavy consumption of turkey meat results in drowsiness, due to high levels of tryptophan contained in turkey. However, the amount of tryptophan in turkey is comparable to that contained in most other meats.

Furthermore, post-meal drowsiness may have more to do with what is consumed along with the turkey, carbohydrates in particular. It has been demonstrated in both animal models and humans that ingestion of a meal rich in carbohydrates triggers release of insulin. Insulin in turn stimulates the uptake of large neutral branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), but not tryptophan (an aromatic amino acid) into muscle, increasing the ratio of tryptophan to BCAA in the blood stream. The resulting increased tryptophan ratio reduces competition at the large neutral amino acid transporter (which transports both BCAA and aromatic amino acids), resulting in more uptake of tryptophan across the blood–brain barrier into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

Once in the CSF, tryptophan is converted into serotonin in the raphe nuclei by the normal enzymatic pathway. The resultant serotonin is further metabolised into melatonin by the pineal gland. Hence, this data suggests that "feast-induced drowsiness"— or postprandial somnolence — may be the result of a heavy meal rich in carbohydrates, which indirectly increases the production of sleep-promoting melatonin in the brain.

You have been warned. . .  :icon_twisted: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!  :turk:

Pretty friggin' sad when people open the doors wide to their marriage on the rocks on Facebook.

You're not a public figure or even a public interest! Why must you fly your skid marked undergarments out in public?

Another day, and another reason to regret the city I grew up within; specifically the culture it nurtured in many I grew up along with. . .

After a Saturday that saw the Cincinnati Bengals unable to control themselves personally, and throw away their playoff opportunity by eliminating the Steelers, I have to read a racist filled rant on social media from a childhood friend filled with the N word.

What happened yesterday to Cincinnati was nothing but a symptom of a typical professional athlete's self-centeredness, and a culture of violence the league nurtures.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the NFL is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the WWF. (Subsidized by the pharmaceutical industry).

If the League leadership doesn't hand out hefty suspensions on BOTH sides of that game yesterday, they are destined to watch the league continue to decline.

I so agree PH. The whole game was a disgrace to watch and especially from pro players. I understand it is an important game but they were a disgrace to watch.

Once again I am going to bitch about the lethargic approach toward snow removal operations within the central Indiana roads I have to travel each day for work. . .

Now Indy may be doing a better job of things, but given the 30+ vehicle pile-up we had on Westbound 70 this morning, the state seems to be laying down on the job. . . As I myself experienced each day this week on 67 traveling through Delaware County. . .

Not a plow in sight the whole way, the road was covered in snow with ice beneath it this morning, just as it was on Monday. Only worse.

I passed 3 different LEO's along the way, and each one engaged in dealing with spin outs that landed in the ditch. . . And each one involving a blue-hair in a Buick, to my surprise. . .  (And that was before I got through Daleville!)

Did Indiana learn from PA on how to remove snow from the highways?  Fortunately, the people at Penn DoT have leaned their lesson from a 2007 snowstorm that closed 50 miles of I-81 and I-78 and left motorists stranded in their cars and trucks for 2 days.  The governor had to call in the National Guard to rescue them.  They've gotten much better since then. Still not the best at it, but better.

Now if only my township could learn how to clean off the roads.   >:(
