Seriously? Starbucks chooses to take a sublime approach toward the holiday season by simply making their cups a holiday shade of red. No nativities, no swanky reindeer, no idiotic snow-people. . . Just plain old holiday red. (A move I heartily endorse as a step toward toning down the commercialization and religiosity injected into the holiday season).

Smart business move; until the zealots decided they are offended over the lack of religious, and/or holiday "decorations" upon the holiday red cups.

I'm just over this horse shit. You don't like their cups, go to Dunkin' Donuts, Speedway, or better yet, make your own damned coffee! Just keep your commercialization and religiosity out of my holiday season thank you very much!

Starbucks- you make my scalp crawl but I applaud your tone down efforts!

Goes to show you how some Christians are so desperate to show the supposed "war on Christians" and "war on Christmas" that doesn't exist.  Get ready for Facebook to be  flooded with memes about not being able to say "Merry Christmas" and how "Christ is being taken out of Christmas".    Don't people have anything better to do with their time?

I agree.

I can think of several reasons for me NOT to like Starbucks besides putting merry Christmas on the side of their overpriced, over-rated cups of coffee.........  ;)

The only thing I am tired of is companies too worried about being politically correct.......there is nothing wrong to stand for something.

Me too.  I can't even remember when I had my last cup of Starbucks coffee.  If I'm getting coffee out, I'd much rather stop by a local diner to get a cup, or if I must go to a chain, then Waffle House is my preference for coffee.

I agree. I can get better coffee at a convience store or even a place like Locutus said.

There is a little mom & pop diner in Pendleton that makes THE best coffee ever.....like $1.50.  I will take that any day.

Starbucks coffee by the cup is too strong for me, but there is one of their products that I really like: the little glass bottles of coffee that taste like chocolate milk with a dash of instant coffee. Excellent cold. Expensive but one of my self-indulgences. I buy them by the carton at Costco and keep one or two in the fridge for when I go out, especially when I travel.

It's too strong for me too; hence the "you make my scalp crawl" comment somewhere here. . .

White Chocolate Mocha . . . THAT is the one thing I will never pass up at Starbucks. I absolutely love them, but sparingly.

For my daily intake, my Keurig is the one thing I will NOT do without. (I know. . . environmentally a beast, so sue me). Since I am the only one in this house that drinks lifer's juice, it is a great solution that prevents me from wasting pots of coffee. I'm typically a one LARGE cup kinda guy anyway so it works really well for me.

I had kicked coffee completely 3 or 4 years ago, having done without for nearly 2 years. . . But once I got my BP issue back under control, and after securing the blessing of my cardiologist, I went back to it and have not looked back since.

You wouldn't like me without coffee at this point. No one talks to me, even family, until they see that mug in my hand. . .  :icon_twisted:

What's the Bob?
Maybe she meant Bob Evans?! I have gone to Dunkin Donuts a time or two and gotten coffee when they were running a $1.00 special but I honestly can get better coffee at home or even our local convience store. One of our local stores has almost made it into a coffee/cappuccino bar where the coffee and cappuccino is made and I can get a 24 oz. for .85 cents.
