You're right. I needed to blow off steam so I posted here ;D and now I can approach the other coaches and the clients and gently push them towards helping each other and themselves. :yes:

I think what set me off was the admonishment in the other coach's voice that sounded a lot like, " you don't know what this hiatus is doing to people." It irked me because she's a coach and therefore a total wellness resource (that includes fitness) yet it didn't occur to her to support/motivate her client herself.

I'm over it :biggrin:

The bottom line is helping people. When we try new things were scared, we make excuses and we hesitate. I know this and need to be patient with the ones who are struggling or stepping outside that comfort zone. I also need to remember that they are developing a new lifestyle and may need nudges in the right direction to do it independently or start a group. I need to figure out the best way to do this and not lose focus because a couple are clingy. I've always had trouble with that in any capacity. So more personal development for me.

I have been a loner all my life. Doesn't mean I've lived alone; means I gave up trying to change others or even start a new conversation; the reward is that once in a while I meet a kindred spirit and oh my  :happy:  I treasure those moments and those people. Maybe that's why I like this forum. Seems like some free spirits here.

Actually, that pretty much describes me as well. This past couple years I've been experimenting with the boundaries of my comfort zone and I've made some significant and rewarding changes as a result. I ventured into wellness coaching knowing full well that I'd be uncomfortable. Not with people so much as learning too much about them. Honestly my frustration is probably more because I should have gone with my gut on this one. Perhaps this was an envelope that didn't need to be pushed. That said, I've already started the back step. I'll continue to help, but as I mentioned above...to a point and then let go. :)

It took me a while to figure that out -- but when I did I found I was much happier on the path I had chosen.

Anyone else think all of these gas price analysts who try and tell you where gas prices are heading don't have a fucking clue what they're talking about?
