I have a situation where someone in authority is keeping me out of the loop. I've discovered that it isnt just me, but other people who should have information regarding their customers that he isn't sharing. The dilemma is that we don't have enough information to do a specific job and then we look stupid because we don't have the information. We spin our wheels and then when we go back to our organization for either a status update or to get more info, their reaciton is, "you should have known XYZ" and therefore the delay caused by not knowing is unacceptable. :mad: I've talked to this supervisor about this issue a few times. I still can't figure out if he is intentially keeping the information from us or if he's just scatter-brained. He won't give me information to share with my team, but then he'll walk past every team member to get to my desk to ask me to gather the team. Really? You pay me to be an assistant? When you actually have an assistant who isn't me and is paid less? I've informally elevated the concern (his boss is a former supervisor of mine) and it's known that he's dropping the ball, but apparently there's other priorities right now. Meanwhile, my team is suffering.

I decided to bypass him and go to his sources. I will share information and if he gets upset, then I'll remind him of our previous conversations and explain how we got to this point.

Drama addicts. Seriously they seem to get high on the stuff and in their emotionally clouded mind, think the rest of us enjoy that crap. If they kept it to themselves, I wouldn't care, but its kinda hard to have a drama party alone, I guess. ;D
