Any "healthful" benefits that "Might" be derived from the act of eating weeds, is overcome by including the "jowls" thingy. . .

Can you say heart attack?

I will eat weeds when that is all I can afford. Until then, I'll pass. . .

Won't eat weeds?  For many many years people wouldn't eat tomatoes because they thought they were poison.  Since they are a member of the Nightshade plants which are poison.  Dandelions aren't to bad, but not the worth the work.

But don't knock Jowl Bacon until you try it.  Great in fresh green beans, kale, Swiss chard and spinach all greens and great in with beans.  Cut it thick, fry in crisp and eat it with tomato and mayo.  :drool2:

Never said I wouldn't or haven't tried it. I grew up with parents born and raised in the south during the Great Depression. . . There isn't much I have not tried at least once. . . And there are some things I actually developed a taste for that remains with me to this very day. . . Weeds aren't one of them!

We had a friend who wouldn't eat chicken.  No how and no way.  She was raised on a chicken farm.

During a typical April, the nation averages 163 tornadoes. A record 503 was set in 2003. So far this month there have been 614 tornado reports. In Indiana the average is 20 tornadoes a year. . . and we've already had 30.  :spooked: :spooked: :spooked:

Me too, PH. I haven't been myself the past coule of days. Yesterday, I tore into someone and left them speechless. I don't know if it was b/c I said what I needed to say or b/c they were shocked that I stomped all over diplomacy.  Then I went for a run and felt okay again. Same feeling after work today, but I had my gym clothes and went straight to the gym before I encountered someone that I had something on my mind about. After my workout, I felt great again. I've been a slacker the past couple of weeks so maybe exercise will tame the beasty within. We'll see.

I don't know what it is, but you and I apparently are not the only ones dealing with it. It's just really weird and I am NOT liking it at all. . .  I'd agree with the physical exertion being a cure for it, at least temporarily, but I've pretty much been working my tail off for the last 21 days straight and find myself very much lacking the initiative to voluntarily impose unnecessary vigorous physical activity unless it involves some deliverable / physical rewards. . .  :icon_twisted:

One might say that removal of the "cloud" would be such, however given the late hour, I fear that cloud removal may result in another sleep-less night; and sleep has become a priceless commodity to me over the past few years!

It's kind of beginnin' to feel like 73 or 74 all over again.....Seems like we had an abnormal amount around here one of those two years.

That's an interesting take. I tend to be hyper-perceptive. You seem to be the same way. Maybe we're picking up on something.

As a natter of fact, I was telling someone today. If I'm in a mood, I can always tell you why. There is something directly related to it. I don't know what I'm feeling. I can't label it and I don't know why. Very strange.

I hope those May 21 nutjobs aren't right. :spooked: If they are, I hope they stick around to say I told you so.
