Actually I've heard members of the media talking about Tebow's religion more than I have Tebow himself talking about it.

yeah, me too.  But, he is not ashamed of his faith or being a virgin (because of his faith).....He has no problem saying he LOVES the LORD.

I think it is pretty cool.  Yes, Jeff Saturday and Tony Dungy are fatastic Christians in my book too, but they are not upcoming QB's with a spotlight on them.  He has handled this very well.

Just saying, I think the boy should come out of the closet.  I know that gays can be a good athlete cause there is a lot of them.  Just like there is a lot of soldiers that are gay.  We won't hold it against him, I don't know about God.

I heard the guy is married?
(Cannot find anything that confirms that though).

I primarily blame the media, but you have to admit the guy wears his religion on his sleeve; and THAT will set him up for the hypocrites once he proves he is human and makes a mistake!

He's not married, and is apparently remaining a virgin until then due to his religious beliefs.  At least that's the story he's sticking to.

That is yet to be seen. They just named the new GM this week, so I figure once he gets up to speed, he probably has a nice sharp axe with which he intends to carve out his own ideals. . .  :icon_twisted:

He's a young buck as GM types go, and thus I figure he's going to be a lot more aggressive than most Hoosiers are used to seeing; and as a young buck eager to have an impact that moves the team onto the path he sees it traveling.

Irsay states he wants a change in direction. Well, this is where the rubber meets the road, and if he means what he said then I am betting (hoping) the young buck's vision gets a test drive.

Wonder if that change of direction includes Peyton's ouster as well.

Good question. My money says Peyton pulls the plug himself based upon long range health concerns. ( I can see Irsay playing the owners card in such a case, and placing Peyton into the coaching staff as a QB coach or offensive coord.).

And like him or hate him, there's no arguing with the string of success Peyton put together since he joined Indpls. The fans love him, and whether you attribute his successes to skill or a golden horseshoe up his 6, the possibility of him passing either along to a promising rookie, or rookies, represents $$ to the Colts organization and the NFL. (And maintaining a Manning presence on the team in any spot, assures at least a few years of loyal fan support, no matter what happens, and $$'s in Irsay's pockets).

I predict he will not kill the golden goose entirely. If he does, the fans may actually load the Mayflower trucks themselves!

Really?  I'm seeing a lot of rumors/suppositions that place Peyton in another franchise next year.  Should be an interesting off season for sure.

Yeah, I'm hearing / reading the same. I attribute it to "wishful thinking" and pure speculation. I could be wrong though.

Irsay may be drug addled, but I don't think he'll risk a stadium full of "frienenmies" that killing the goose will certainly produce; along with an eventual mutiny that will deplete his coffers.

Indy fans may be somewhat delusional themselves, but one thing is for sure; once they become as supportive of a player as they are of Manning, they will not be shy about "punishing" the team/owner if he/they make a decision that they disagree with. And Irsay knows it too.

Before the Manning era the Colts were struggling financially in Indpls, and tickets to any game were a dime a dozen. The stands resembled a dog with mange there were so many empty seats. (Harbaugh briefly changed that). Manning filled the stadium, and suddenly there was a years long waiting list for season tickets. The mange will return if he doesn't get this right. . .
