I am utterly amazed that ti took just over 2 years to have this topic morph into a rough house version!

Knowing the passion so many hold for their modern day version of gladiators, I find it astonishing it took so long for the conversation to turn "rough" enough!

(Guess the Dolts doing bad has resulted in wide-spread grumpiness eh? )  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I remember the Packers - are they still in existence? - but I don't remember the Bulls - who were they?

I think this whole Tebow thing is out of control, simply because he is proud to admit he is a Christian, and THAT pisses some people off...

You are SO predictable.  Would you even give two hoots if it wasn't for his backstory?  I suspect not.  ; )

The took over AFTER the packers.  I do believe they are still around, two brothers, Dane and Darrel Hill (who I played with) was running the team, at least a couple of years ago they were.

Those names don't sound familiar, but that's interesting.  I didn't know there was still a FB team around the area.  I'd watched a few of the Packer's games back in the day.  I also seem to recall a pro/semi-pro BaseB or SB team too.  IIRC, the Packer's name originally came from an old Anderson pro BasketB team.

It appears that the NFL is starting to "thug up" just like the NBA.

Course, the DEA could just be framing him. . .

The axe falls!

The Chicago Bears waived wide receiver Sam Hurd on Friday, two days after federal authorities arrested him on charges of conspiring to possess and distribute cocaine.
Hurd, 26, was arrested Wednesday at a Chicago restaurant, where he accepted cocaine from an undercover U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court.

It amazes me just how stupid some of those idiot sports stars can be..........they are getting the opportunity to make millions to play a "game"........then they have to go and do something so stupid.....amazing.

I think these guys have such wonderful opportunities, and I love the guys who take the time to give back and to be a role model.  Peyton Manning is wonderful example.  He gives very generously to the community and he give much of his personal time to be with kids in his Childrens Hospital.  Not much to ask for the life he is being allowed to have.
