Are we pretending that the big money interests who already control the media aren't the same as those who control the government?
Nope! I'm not any way.  But, when our government is making it obvious, we don't have to sit back and just take it.

Citizens United makes it pretty obvious and most continue to sit back and just take it.

We still have something called our First Amendment, that we cannot ignore.

Rights are afforded to individuals, not legal entities.  You can't simultaneously bitch about our legislative process being for sale and support the ridiculous rulings that make it possible.

I think all money given to any party or candidate MUST be publicly disclosed.  If an organization is giving to a party or an issue we don't agree with, then we can quit supporting that group.  But, for our government to regulate and determine how much, or who can give, then we are violating our first amendment.  It is plain and simple.

If there is to be any limits set on contributions, it should be done on a state level. Not by our Federal Gov.

So what you're saying is that it's perfectly fine to buy our legislative process as long as we know who's doing the buying...gotcha.

No, not saying that at all.  Saying, that we live in a country where we have the RIGHT to express our political views.  Having more money than some else is not a crime.  If we have full disclosure, of WHO is spending corporate money on who, then as share holders  or as private citizens, we can choose NOT to support certain groups.

I think it is DEAD wrong, when our federal government gets to decide who can give, and how much you can give...that is violating our FIRST AMENDMENT!

I understand your argument and concern, but I think full disclosure and allowing States to decide these issues is the best way to go.

Because you're parroting things you don't understand to begin with.

Suck it Bo!
What was so hard to follow what "I" was saying?  YES, the STATES control the votes for their OWN STATE.  We are the UNITED "STATES" of America.  Really? I'm the one that is lost?

I am NOT parroting anything.....it is all common sense.
