Anyone else received their fake IRS call yet? Mine went something like this: My name is John Smith (insert faint foreign accent), my badge number is 5680347, I am from the IRS Tax Evasion Fraud Division. Your name is on our list for possible tax evasion. Call us immediately at 804-387-2245. Do not ignore this call! Again, my name is John Smith, my badge number is 5680347, of the IRS Law and Order Division. Call us now at 804-387-2245. I called the police to tell them about the call. They said that it was making the rounds.
No, but I have gotten emails that claimed I was subpoenaed for court. I sent them an email back and told them if they wanted me to come and get me!

Hint: Don't even answer the emails. Now they know they have a real, live address and you will be a target.

He's talking about your email address.  That would remain the same regardless of where you check it.

True but I know a trick around that

Which would be what?
I copied there address and then sent it from a computer with a fake email address. It wasn't my email or my computer sent from.

I don't answer calls that are 800 numbers or numbers I don't recognize, just let them go to voice mail. If it is important they will leave a voice mail and this is what the fake irs people did.

Just watched a segment with George Takei on the evening newscast locally.

Mr Takei will likely be the next target for a public scandal. He does great things, endorses great causes, and tries his very best to work for equality for all.

Those things alone make him a primary target for the next public tear-down.

If you copied the message to return it to them for reference, then I think they'd figure it out and if you didn't then your witty reply was wasted, because they woudn't know what to apply it to.

He'll be fine as long as he doesn't say anything against this administration.

Got my IRS call this afternoon and they left a message for me to call back at a different number than they called from so I did a number search and reported it. It came from a cell phone with an Illinois number. The number I got my call from was 603-933-9463
